Can't see Fadz being offered another year, although Batth probably does deserve an extension. That would leave Hyam, Batth and Wharton when he returns, so a younger cb probably makes sense.

Highly rated at Reading, here's one fans view :

 

"This might sound paradoxical, but the biggest praise I can give Bindon is that I very rarely leave the ground ranting and raving about how good he was. It’s almost expected now that he’s going to put in a 7/10 performance. And to be able to say that about a 19-year-old (yes, I’ll keep reminding you of that), in just his second season in professional football is nothing short of astounding.

He just never seems to put a foot wrong, he rarely gets caught out of position and he seems to always be one step ahead of his opponent - not in terms of his feet, but in his mind. His footballing intelligence and awareness of where he needs to be and when is second to none when comparing him to most centre-backs we’ve had in the past decade.

Things like heading a ball away from a corner, or clearing your lines from a cross, are so unappreciated because they’re just expected of defenders, but you can only do that if you’re in the right place and your positioning is spot on - and Bindon is more often than not that man."

There’s also that O’Riordan lad who’s out on loan at the moment.

Many people seem to think that Carter is an obvious big sale but im not so sure.

Hes a good player on his day but is currently recovering from a second serious injury in a year. His form when he has played has been well below Tomasson's first season and I dont think hes young enough where any Premier League teams would be interested as a future investment.

Depends I suppose on what you (or Rovers) term as a big sale.

I would imagine anything around £3m -£4m  would be given serious consideration

Im sure it would be more than considered, but I am unsure who would bid that. For the last season and a half he has been either injured or in poor form and is no longer a prospect.

He was looking much more like his self aside from when he was at right back. But I think Hyam has also been much better and at a similar level without getting the credit he deserves.

All things considered, injuries, age and his inconsistencies, I still am unconvinved certainly that a Prem side would be interested, maybe even top end Championship.
