You said how low the bar has dropped...I agree but our owners have turned the taps off so we are yet again having to shop in Poundland. The bar is low but it not the head of operations fault.

I didn’t mean to imply it was his fault.

If it does turn out he’s shit at his job (too early to say) this would just be another symptom of the Venky disease.

I don't know about anyone else, but I have kind of given up getting excited or believing articles saying we will sign or sell anyone in transfer windows. If history under the venkys tells us anything its that most the time signing links are lies, or we get things lined up only to not have the funds, or take till the last day of every window to make any move, and rarely spend actual money. 
I stop believing anything until I see a confirmation of anything signed. If anyone or whatever comes through the door, you know Eustace will get them grafting thats for sure, and as frustrating as it is to sometimes see lack of quality, its good to see the effort from the lads that put on the shirts atm.

As for the league, I am absolutely delighted with our current league position. Upset we lost to hull, but i get upset every time we don't win. Win 6 on the bounce from nowhere, and could easily not win in the next 6, that my friends is the good old championship football. Its always impossible to predict on any gameday no matter what form your in. Enjoy the league position, 12 points from safety... and also in the play offs with half a season left to play for. If we dont win for a while, id be confident enough to say Eustace will find away to turn it around at some point. 

Looking forward to the next one! Bring on Leeds!

I would be going to Leicester and asking to get Tom Cannon on loan for the rest of the season and if we get promote then we can buy him for a fixed fee. Rumours that Leicester would recall Cannon if they could sell him

Since Park has left, Jackson has confirmed Gestede now ‘leads’ on recruitment.

"RG added that the system now set up did not in any event rely on any one individual and that work was ongoing in talent identification for the next two transfer windows. Put simply, the process was that John Eustace and the team identified any position that needed strengthening. The team matched any suitable available players within budget for that position and then John would choose one from a short list of 3-5 players"

The system still relies on players being chosen for Eustace. He then picks the best, or least shit.

Do you know how often Eustace watched Gueye in person?

We wouldn't be buying him, so why would they go for that? It's a purchase only if we get promoted and the odds on that are heavily against us.

What's happened to this guy? He arrived with a reasonable fanfare for an U21 signing but hasn't been involved for them for like 2 months. Can only assume he's injured?

As it does with most recruitment structure. Klopp wasn't keen on Salah but he backed his head of recruitment judgement on him, now look at. 

Yet Eustace backed the people judgement at the club and as he did with Ohashi, Beck, Toth, etc

Eustace will watched them on Video and decided who he wants from the recruitment shortlist just like most clubs do

We might get promoted but we still have half the season to go and as it stands right now, we are unlikely to go all the way (although I hope we do)

That's what I read, but Cannon would be part of team challenging for playoffs instead of relegation like Stoke are. Plus we can offer to buy at the end of the season. Very few championship clubs can afford to buy him unless promote. 

Unlikely? We are 5th. We stand a decent enough chance and if we can add quality wide player and striker then it should be good chance
