Did you think the summer was  "another" failed window?

On little or no money I thought it was a lot better than what had gone before tbh.

No, thought summer window was ok given the budget we evidently had. Not sure who that was down to though. This time it’s all on Waggot’s protege/fall guy Rudy.

It was, in the sense that we didn't get a scoring striker to replace Sammi. We got a few players but its short-term stuff isn't it?

No, I know, it was just trying to make the best of a bad job with minimal money to spend.

What I meant was, with no money it was better than the windows with no money under the previous recruitment regime.

When are Wharton and Carter expected to be “back”? Can’t see signing a CB being priority if they are back next season whilst we still have mcfadz on the books.

Dolan I like but I think he feels undervalued and will get more money (if not game time) elsewhere

Striker needed, winger (or modern equivalent) and a left back are next on the list.

Will we sign anyone other than loans - no because we are already achieving the requirements (ie staying in championship)

edit: Leonard needs to play regularly for someone and possibly work on adapting his game to the modern game as my feeling has always been “poacher” in terms of skillset

Carter at the time of his injury was said to be out for 3 months….that was just over 2 months ago. So end of this month maybe.
 

Wharton was said to be out for a year at the time of his injury….that was in April/May.

I can foresee nothing happening for 3.5 weeks then the usual last day scramble to secure 1 or 2 crap loans.

With Park leaving and the shambolic way we run scouting/transfers, it’s hard to believe there has been any sort of plan in place to identify targets before the window. Look at other clubs making moves already.

Would love to be proved wrong but this is Venkys and precedent tees us all up for disappointment. Another wasted opportunity with us in the top 6 again and Eustace doing a fabulous job..

Or will we see third time lucky after ballsing up both opportunities under Mowbray and JDT?

I was one of those begging for either a new keeper or a decent back up too. Pears has proven himself this season bar a few tiny blips but he's been a huge part of why we are where we are now. Hindsight I do feel like Toth was a waste of money. I mean he was dubbed as having won this won that... not seen him play yet I know he was injured but feel bad for him not getting minutes
