Jackson doing the usual of ruling out / denying / downplaying all the rumours that have emerged online over the last week but not actually bringing anything himself to the party.

Very easy to sit back and poo-poo rumours. A bit more of a challenge to actually come up with something himself, which is probably why he's spent the last few weeks scouring the betting odds and doing his best to link our manager with moves elsewhere off the back of it.

So nothing close, we are trying to loan a Coventry sub defender but its in the balance, we want a veteran utility man but unlikely to happen.

I think Morton is terrible as I watched him every week with my own two eyes play for rovers and he was terrible.

Kitching scored a hilarious own goal last season (0:53) for Coventry, a finish only Gueye could dream of!

Well known that he had a clause that he had to play X amount of games or there was a heavy financial penalty.

Imo he got way more flak here than he should have due to not being as good as Adam Wharton, and JDT playing him instead 

He was very good at Hull last season, Klopp ,Slot ,Rosenior and Jdt have all played him so il presume they agree with me.He isn't terrible

Hull finished 7th with an unbelievable squad last season. Maybe if they didn’t play him they’d have finished higher 😆

If we’d have played Wharton over him, maybe we would have. We certainly would’ve had a day out at Wembley.

Yeah he isn't as good as Wharton I'm not disputing that. And eventually Wharton did take his place in the team.

But he isn't terrible and if he was he wouldn't be on the bench for Liverpool. 

Did England under 21s also have to pay Liverpool a fee if he didn't play for them.Iv already named 4 decent managers who have given him minutes we can add the England under 21 manager

I would love to see leonard go and get minutes on loan, but to be honest, we now need him as we cant be relying on Gueye, while Yuki is out, I don't think we can afford to now offload Leonard even if we got someone else in. I also read he scored 5 in 29 appearances for rovers, which is actually not a bad return when you think of the minutes those 29 appearances have been. While I still think Leonard probably struggles with the physcal side, hes a way better finisher than Gueye. They probably could potentially benefit each other. The burnley match Cantwell was nowhere to be seen near Gueye, maybe playing the together might work. With leonards movement and willingness to run he could prob do a job as a 10.

I strongly suspect that Litherland is ahead of O'Riordan right now. Personally I would look to sell him or at least loan him out again with an option to buy.

I'm not Morton's biggest fan but he clearly has something about him to be getting into Liverpool squads this season, plus playing virtually full seasons as a teenager for us and Hull whilst we chased the play-offs.

I also don't think that JDT can necessarily be blamed for consistently picking Morton over Wharton, if memory serves me right there was a spell where Adam wasn't fit, plus in his breakthrough season he had to be carefully managed in terms of games.

Not that I think he will end up back here. Suspect he will go somewhere like Sheffield United as has been mentioned consistently for some time, which kind of tells its own story if he does - Wilder is no mug.

Makes sense for a move to be in the balance if he played 90 minutes at the weekend. God forbid we spend the money needed to sign a player that actually gets in his team at this level.....
