JHRover
Jackson doing the usual of ruling out / denying / downplaying all the rumours that have emerged online over the last week but not actually bringing anything himself to the party. Very easy to sit back and poo-poo rumours. A bit more of a challenge to actually come up with something himself, which is probably why he's spent the last few weeks scouring the betting odds and doing his best to link our manager with moves elsewhere off the back of it.

chaddyrovers
Would be good signing. Can play 2 positions. Can play left back. Let's make it happen
rob_of_the_rovers
Kitching being a loan would make sense with Wharton back in the summer
roversfan99
So nothing close, we are trying to loan a Coventry sub defender but its in the balance, we want a veteran utility man but unlikely to happen. Exciting.

Polky
Kitching scored a hilarious own goal last season (0:53) for Coventry, a finish only Gueye could dream of! Wasn’t he sent off at Ewood last season? Edited January 9 by Polky

Paul Mani
I think it’s fair to say we don’t know who or what is going on. The ‘links’ before Kitching have been tenuous to say the least!? Let’s see how things unfold.

In your opinion , not in mine Imo he got way more flak here than he should have due to not being as good as Adam Wharton, and JDT playing him instead He was very good at Hull last season, Klopp ,Slot ,Rosenior and Jdt have all played him so il presume they agree with me.He isn't terrible

How're things over at Coventry pet?! Hahaha, anyway - you got any defenders that you don't want by any chance? Have noticed that Liam Kitching lad is hated by your fans, what about him? Maybe if they didn’t play him they’d have finished higher 😆 If we’d have played Wharton over him, maybe we would have. We certainly would’ve had a day out at Wembley.

Yeah he isn't as good as Wharton I'm not disputing that. And eventually Wharton did take his place in the team. But he isn't terrible and if he was he wouldn't be on the bench for Liverpool. Did England under 21s also have to pay Liverpool a fee if he didn't play for them.Iv already named 4 decent managers who have given him minutes we can add the England under 21 manager

arbitro
1 hour ago, ruggles1995 said: Id recall and keep Connor Oriordan on the books for the next half of the season. He might not be the best, and struggled to get into the cambridge team, but if we are so short of money, I think spending whatever money we do have on the attacking side and potentially another cm is a must. We already have 2 cbs doing well, and why i get if one gets injured we are short, we do have mcfadzean and potentially carter back in a month. I feel if he needed to play a handful of games you'd think with our defensive unit set up Eustace plays he could prob get away with it. I know a lot of people are saying pears and hyam and bath have been great, and while i completely agree, they have been helped with our defensive unit style of play we now play from how Eustace sets us up, we are not as open as we were under JDT and now they have help and cover all over the pitch to help defend definitely helps. I think if Oriordan stepped in if we were short for a handful of games, you would think, hyam, mcfadzean or batth could talk him through a game. Plus we have spent money on the bloke, hes 21 and played league football, time to sink or swim or sell on. We are so poor up top we simply need what ever coffers are behind the sofa to be spent up top. I would love to see leonard go and get minutes on loan, but to be honest, we now need him as we cant be relying on Gueye, while Yuki is out, I don't think we can afford to now offload Leonard even if we got someone else in. I also read he scored 5 in 29 appearances for rovers, which is actually not a bad return when you think of the minutes those 29 appearances have been. While I still think Leonard probably struggles with the physcal side, hes a way better finisher than Gueye. They probably could potentially benefit each other. The burnley match Cantwell was nowhere to be seen near Gueye, maybe playing the together might work. With leonards movement and willingness to run he could prob do a job as a 10. A thursday morning 2ps worth I strongly suspect that Litherland is ahead of O'Riordan right now. Personally I would look to sell him or at least loan him out again with an option to buy. JHRover
I'm not Morton's biggest fan but he clearly has something about him to be getting into Liverpool squads this season, plus playing virtually full seasons as a teenager for us and Hull whilst we chased the play-offs. I also don't think that JDT can necessarily be blamed for consistently picking Morton over Wharton, if memory serves me right there was a spell where Adam wasn't fit, plus in his breakthrough season he had to be carefully managed in terms of games. Not that I think he will end up back here. Suspect he will go somewhere like Sheffield United as has been mentioned consistently for some time, which kind of tells its own story if he does - Wilder is no mug.
Ghost7
Makes sense for a move to be in the balance if he played 90 minutes at the weekend. God forbid we spend the money needed to sign a player that actually gets in his team at this level..... 🤣
