Liam Kitching on loan isn't exactly inspiring but if its simply as cover to what we already have then fine, as we know we do need some cover defensively.

The greater concern is the lack of solidified targets further up the pitch.

Whether Morton is good, average or bad it would be a very underwhelming and unambitious signing.

He will not make the difference we need to get in the playoffs and will then swan off again at the end of the season. No good for what we want at the moment and not building for the future. Pointless

I’m not interested in Tyler Morton nor kitchen if any talks have been held with players it should have been with a striker and or winger no excuses 

could we do with left sided cover yes but the priority is and always has been up top and on the wing

Duru set to have a medical at barrow I have read. Think this my be shooting ourselves in the foot here unless they have anyone lined up to come in. With baker gone and trav injured, we only have tronstad, buckley and costello who can play cm... lose one of them 3 and we only have 2 cms available, which means costello wouldnt be able  to play right back if brittain or beck got injured. You would have thought he would be kept Duru as long as possible until someone's fit or being signed. 
I do sometimes think Eustace will only play players that have 100 league appearances to their name. 

Duru is as young as Beck, and look how well Becks done. 

I know these lads need to get minutes but we also need to keep some form of numbers as a squad. We are now looking so thin, 1 or 2 more injuries and we are square pegs round holes

Duru is about to turn 20. Beck turns 23 this year.

What's with the shite loans for our players these days? Duru could easily cut it at League One level, or in the Scottish PL.

A League Two loan seems pointless, the only positive being that he'll likely get a good bunch of minutes down there.

We need 3 signings in asap. I reckon it will end up being 2 loans at the end of the window as desperation kids from prem clubs.

Yup, here's a visual on that squad "depth" but with Garrett added in since I reckon he'll have to stay;

What on earth are they waiting for? We're screwed if practically any of those players pick up an injury or illness, especially the likes of Tronstad, Batth or Beck.

The baker news was in Stoke forums the previous evening and all yesterday morning 

Elliot has simply stated he no longer publishes rumours only confirmed information (he’s not in the loop at all clearly so delayed info) but mr jones has got a lot more wrong than right he clearly reads a lot of forums

He was very good at Hull last season, Klopp ,Slot ,Rosenior and Jdt have all played him so il presume they agree with me.He isn't terrible 

He had no interest in going in for a 50/50 tackle - and he wasn't good enough to ignore that part of the game.

We all thought O'Riordan and Garrett would play in L1.

If Barrow are promising him game time in L2 at 19 we should bite his hand off. He's not developing sat on the bench / running out for the U21s.

Morton I’d take back, but Kitching?? How do we expect to get promoted taking ‘out of favour’ players from teams below us 🤷🏼‍♂️

If mcfadzean moves it’s surely to start his after playing career. I’d give him a coaching spot here, seems to be a good influence.

is gilsenen far off a return? Sure he could provide some minutes, he wasn’t far off when he got injured. But he’s we need bodies in as a matter of urgency

So it seems back to the routine of shifting players out before we can bring in. Baker already gone, talk of McFadzean and Leonard being on the way. Nobody coming in (but importantly for the bean counters Garrett back).

McFadzean looks to me to be playing an important role behind the scenes and on the touchline. I'd keep him until the summer.

But of course we need to remind ourselves of what is important here. The motivation behind what the owners and board are doing is not to equip Eustace with the best squad possible and to break into the top 6. The motivation is to keep costs as low as possible. Everything revolves around that.

Why pay a new player for the whole of January when we can sign them in 3 weeks and save on the wages?

Eustace was told there was a pot of money for signings. Yet there's more talk about outgoings than there are incomings.

Gilsenen reminded me of a Siggy-type player with no pace. He didn’t look suited to the cut and thrust of the Championship.

What was he 18/19 when he was first here?

The Hull matches I watched last season he was excellent. 

I'm not having that he is a terrible player when he was a regular here finished 7th , regular at Hull finished 7th and both Klopp and Slot have given him premier league and champions league minutes.Plus he involved with England under 21s,starting for them in the main 

Plus like leftwinger making the comparison with Braintwaithe, Braithwaite was useless and would never make a Premier league player according to some on here, now he is an England International with a transfer valuation of £50+ million.

We where Mortons first loan ,to be expected he wouldn't have been the complete player ffs

I had a look on the Stoke forums and some were suggesting we where only paying a part of Bakers wages.

I asked Nixon and he said the same that Rovers where only paying a small portion of his wages
