They are practically all astonished that a top half championship club would pick him up. Look back at the twitter feed someone posted above. Yeah only one fan said our recruitment team must be on smack. Another suggested spice! And everyone else was in full agreement. Not one dissenting voice. Quote
G Somerset Rover Posted January 11 Posted January 11 (edited) For all those saying these are Eustace signings…yes, they probably are. But I would wager decent money that it’s out of utter desperation rather than choice. Edited January 11 by G Somerset Rover 2 Quote

BankEnd Rover Posted January 11 Posted January 11 There's 100% a player in Sanderson and of all managers in the league, to get the best out of anyone, it's JE. Sunderland's fans loved him up there so it's all swings and roundabouts. Quote

Let's get that expectation in the bin right now. We've MASSIVELY over performed based on our current squad. Now would it be nice for the owners to capitalise on this surprising start to the season? Absolutely and it wouldn't take a great deal of money to do so. Will they? Not bloody likely. 1 Quote

Hasta Posted January 11 Posted January 11 (edited) Just had a look on the Leeds forum as that’s where Forshaw was last a regular. They actually still call the physios room “The Adam Forshaw Suite” even 18 months after he left. Edited January 11 by Hasta 2 Quote

Sanderson is underwhelming but understandable. He will be 4th choice but initially third, hes not over the hill and he can be a decent enough defender at this level. Forshaw though, we need someone who can play for the next month. Not a hasbeen who Plymouth fans cant believe we are taking. Your argument for him could justify anyone, we arent going to get someone as good as Travis. Maybe not, but Baker at least was good cover. .Sanderson has plenty of Championship experience, play 2 positions, was signed and Captain under Eustace at Birmingham. He joined us cos of Eustace as he says in his video. on Forshaw, what your opinion on and is that opinion what Plymouth fans says about? If so, we would have never signed Danny Baath or Gestede. 3 Quote

We’re only ‘chasing the play-offs’ because the man who wanted those two ‘fucking shit signings’ has put us in that position. Probably a point worth considering, maybe? Quote

So to clarify, you are happy with both signings and feel they strengthen our chances of making the top 6? 1 Quote

Sunderland fans had loved Batth just 12 months earlier than when we signed him and were sad to see him go. Leeds fans I’ve just seen describe Forshaw as “absolute dogshit” 1 Quote

The only thing I'll say in his defence fitness wise is that he seems to have made 16 appearances this season. Although as they were for Plymouth who are rooted to the bottom of the table that is not necessarily a badge of honour. Can you imagine if he comes in as (very) short term cover for Travis and lasts about half an hour in true Fleck stylee......... Quote

And at his age he’s clearly deteriorating. I mean, I was disappointed with Batth and he is my player of the year. I will judge him as he plays and hold my hand up if needs be. But it doesn’t half reek of desperation. The likes of Sanderson, Sorba Thomas, Giles etc.. I could see logic behind. Edited January 11 by Hasta 1 Quote
B16Rover Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Optimist hat on If needs must for a few weeks, a 5 3 2 formation with Batth Sanderson and Hyam gives us some threat at corners A three of Tronstad, Forshaw and JRC (provided 2 of those 3 are fit) might hide some of Forshaw's age related lack of physicality and let him play with a bit of the technical skill he has remaining That's my best effort Quote

He’s played 90 minutes three times (0-4, 0-3, 0-4) Quote

That’s a disgusting midfield 🤣 1 Quote

If not, I would look at PNE striker Riis, or Dennis on loan from Forest 2 Quote
