jim mk2
O'Brien has done nothing of note since he was in demand 2 years ago. I wouldn't sign him but having seen Forshaw yesterday he couldn't be worse. At one point yesterday we had Weimann and Forshaw trundling around in midfield, combined age 65 or thereabouts

Travis should be back by the time we’ve managed to incorporate him into the team. I expect both of Weimann and Forshaw were signed as 20 minute subs to bring on. At the moment they were expected to play large chunks of the game. We have Ohashi, Travis, Carter, Pickering, and now Tronstad all out injured. They would all be starters and the weaker players who are starting now would be on the bench. Edited January 19 by Tyrone Shoelaces

He can't kick the ball properly either - his hoof "shot" at goal near the end of the game was laughable. He's not alone though - Brittain should have got one on target too instead of firing it over Perhaps it's the modern, lighter balls but players don't seem capable of doing the basics these days of keeping the ball low by lacing it with the head down. not back, and knee over the ball

They're not playing on Pleasie/Blackamoor pitch ether.

roversfan99
It was a joke post about Luca Toni. We certainly are never signing Milik in a month of Sundays.

At one point yesterday we had Weimann and Forshaw trundling around in midfield, combined age 65 or thereabouts he`s been playing in the mls.given that he was the best midfielder in the championship a couple of years ago,if we can get him somewhere near that, then it`s a great signing, wether he`s lost his edge or thinks rovers are a bunch of ***** for what they did to him, thats another matter,he`s better than forshaw but then again we could sign someone from the conference north who would be better than him
RoversClitheroe
Mental no striker or winger linked - genuinely baffled - but I shouldn't be, this Rovers owned by Venkys with Waggott and Gestede at the wheel Edited January 19 by RoversClitheroe

My best case scenario is a striker for £1m and a couple of players on loan. It’s pointless discussing the £35m (or whatever we’ve received in the last 12 months) in conjunction with incomings as we all know that’s going on running costs.
Neal
If we're talking to Forest I'd also ask about Toffolo and move Beck further up the pitch.

Forever Blue
LB, CM, LW and CF should be the minimum requirement this window. And they’ve got to be good Championship standard. Then we might maintain a play off push.

Arguably a CAM who can assist and score goals too, not just tippy tap round the pitch and lose it in dangerous positions.
chaddyrovers
On the O'Brien link, Not for me, Our priorities should be striker and winger plus a left back. That where our focus should be and remain. 17 hours ago, roversfan99 said: Is that really a midfield that sustains a play off push? Buckley's first decent game in years, Forshaw not up to it and JRC is also needed as right back cover and hasnt really convinced in midfield. Travis is back in about a week or 2 weeks. Buckley hasn't played much this season but yesterday was his best games since his good spell under JDT first season. Writing Forshaw off already, embarrassing. JRC can play anywhere in the team and one of those position is centre midfielder 17 hours ago, roversfan99 said: If its just warm bodies, why do we need a winger when we have Sigurdsson, Hedges, Dolan, ACD and Weimann? Why do we need a striker when we have Gueye, Leonard and Ohashi. Where I have said this? is it clear we need another wide player in who can add abit quality or some pace. We need another striker so we can play different strikers for different games plus also Yuki Ohashi has just played full 12 months. 15 hours ago, wilsdenrover said: Just found this: https://jobs4football.com/job/chief-football-scout/ An absolute word soup of modern day bollocks. B16Rover
Shea Charles recalled by Southampton. Presumably for their match day squad but if not then he'd be an ideal loanee
