Ghost7 Posted January 23 Posted January 23 A few compliments to the group from Waggott makes sense. They aren't impressed and the feeling is it's a captainless ship above Eustace... who's very popular. 1 Quote

The Szmodics, Raya and Gallagher monies will be in the 24/25 accounts. Makes sense cheers. I couldn't find those on companies house. 1 Quote

The only reason he's released this statement is prepping us that we'll spend naff all. The clues: 1. John wants to keep the squad intact. - Waggott is spinning a success narrative (even though nobody wants any of our players). 2. Other positions/options that can cover our players whilst they return from injury. - Excuse for bringing in loans with no long term financial commitment. 3. January is difficult. - Just making the excuse in advance of the backlash. Waggottout / Suhailout / and most of all VENKYSOUT 23 Quote

Upside Down Posted January 23 Posted January 23 (edited) 20 minutes ago, BRFC4EVA said: This is what I don't understand and I guess where the theories about money laundering, deliberate losses etc stem from. 1.) Businesses, people, etc don't like loosing money. 2.) In order to stop us loosing money there are 2 options. A.) Sign talented players to then polish and flog. B.) Get promoted to the PL. That is why I just cannot fathom what on earth they are doing. There are a huge amount of talented young players who would contribute to either A or B. One compliments the other anyway. However just doing nothing makes no sense. It is epescially frustrating as we are currently an attractive proposition sitting in 6th. Also, they're under investigation by a government agency that specifically tackles money laundering and then there's their VERY close relationship with Kentaro who were heavily involved in the FIFA corruption case a few years ago, where there was a money laundering element to the charges and accusations. Venkys are also guilty of committing tax fraud. Since day one there's always been an air of corruption about this ownership. Smoke = Fire 🔥 Edited January 23 by Upside Down Punctuation. Popular Post JHRover Posted January 23 Popular Post Posted January 23 Well well well, as if by magic up pops our silent and invisible CEO. The man who outside the 3 monthly fans forum meetings hasn't been seen or heard of in what, close to a year now? By pure coincidence he suddenly decides to issue an 'update' on our transfer window a couple of days after the Coventry defeat, when the squad is in rubble and the manager is visibly fed up, and the Venkygraph reporter has confirmed in public that he can't get an interview with Waggott or Gestede. Funny that. Almost as though slippery Steve is sat somewhere hoping he doesn't need to say anything but he reads the mood well and can spot when people are getting really pissed off and suddenly appears back on the scene again. It happened after last years' January debacle when JDT left and he conspired to gather fans and players together to dilute the anger, it happened shortly after his plot to demolish Brockhall was discovered online. Never see or hear from him until public anger and chaos is unfolding and then he pops up to say something, but actually tell us nothing. (I seem to remember Chaddy once running to the club's defence by saying that they would wait until after the window had closed to comment on transfer activity but forget about that for a moment) The words of a snake oil salesman right there. An interview littered with excuses and reasons why we have been unwilling (not unable) to do business so far this month and little commitment other than 'we'll try' to get some more in. Excuse after excuse: "We TRY to IMPROVE the squad" - therefore as long as we try that's ok and players have to improve us (of course can therefore roll out the old we aren't signing players that won't improve what we've got "Who will be a good fit for the current closely knit group of players as John wants to keep intact the togetherness of the squad" - of course the excuse can then be that options out there weren't compatible with this and could have disrupted us Other clubs looking for the same areas of improvement - a.k.a we can't compete because other clubs can offer more than we can even though we've spent nowt and brought in more than everyone else "This very limited January window" - it's as limited as you make it - if you need players you get them - the words of excuses and dampening expectations as usual. "Hopefully some of the injured players will become available for selection over the next few weeks" - this is a 3-in-1 blame injuries for our situation and inevitable slide down the table, even though most people know the real reason why we've started to get so many injuries dampen expectations on new arrivals by pointing to the return of absences reducing the need to strengthen, 'next few weeks' of course by then if this continues we will be playing catch up to our rivals and our advantage will be totally squandered so he can use that as a further excuse when we get to March / April and the squad has recovered but just has too much work to do. "We will continue to pursue our list of targets" - of course suggesting that there's a grand plan being followed which we won't deviate from - then when it ends in failure as it has the last 4 years we can play the old line of saying that we aren't going to compromise on our principles or deviate from the plan, though it is obvious there isn't one. A total conman who I totally despise, I dare not look on the comments below as I'll flip if I see people thanking him for his 'communication and honesty' like we got last year. 46 Quote

There are a number of individuals I have come across that are extremely naïve, narcissistic and even extremely self absorbed. I firmly believe it is an ego thing alongside perhaps something of a more criminal aspect such as laundering. On that last point, I'm always suspicious of how many small companies are linked/related to the club (owned by club staff). In addition to the multiple branched-off Venky's sub companies. https://open.endole.co.uk/insight/company/00053482-the-blackburn-rovers-football-and-athletic-limited Whilst I have no doubt that the snowball was a massive contributory factor to how things have played out, it seems highly unlikely that less legitimate things are not being covered up by the unwillingness to sell. 3 Quote
