Paul Mani
27 minutes ago, islander200 said: No way was Brereton a Mowbray signing imo ,he might have convinced venkys to spend a bit but I don't believe it was Mowbray that chose and pushed for Brereton to come in.Im going off how Mowbray spoke of his signing at the time and how he used Brereton in his first couple of seasons I can tell you 100% that it was Uncle Tony who persuaded them to have a ‘special player’ budget - so if he, or the recruitment team identified a player of considerable talent , that could potentially grow in value and make them a few quid, they could buy them. So, BB may not have been Mowbrays choice, but he was brought in on his initiative and his watch. In a time where he (the manager) had direct access to the Venkys. Didnt work out re making them any money, mind! 🙈🤣 18 minutes ago, RoversClitheroe said: The rumours coming out were that Brereton was absolutely not a Mowbray signing. Arma probably was though. Ridiculous. We are likely to be outspent by Fleetwood. But we fall for this nonsense every single transfer window, especially when a half decent, capable and seemingly honest manager like JE galvanises some decent results from his ragbag of journeymen and has-beens. Why do we hold out hope of change, when the evidence of our own eyes is the continued and consistent lack of any change of strategy from the people in charge at Ewood. Their behaviour is now 100% predictable and the results also guaranteed. It would take an almighty confluence of luck, amazing team spirit, great tactical nous and ability to work on a shoestring for anything to change, and even then we would merely be looking at a shot at the play-offs, which is no guarantee of success.. Where they can, these shysters continue to nip and tuck to trim costs and rake in windfall cash from opportunistic player sales. By skimping on key appointments (especially scouting) the supply of potentially saleable assets decreases season by season. Wherever you look, ever since that Indian chump took a snowball to the chops, the writing has been on the wall. It is classic sociopathic rage on the part of the Chumpsters, who clearly regard the legacy of Jack Walker as something irrelevant and the people of Blackburn as worse than Dalits. The astounding thing is that it staggers on. And so, because of the irrational nature of football, do we. But FFS, the stench around Ewood after nearly 15 years of these arseholes... pass me the bucket... VENKYS OUT Waggot Chump OUT Shail Pasha - DO ONE! 😞

Ricceh
Don't worry lads it's nearly lunchtime. Time for the twitter journos to make up a rumour whilst munching a Tesco meal deal, ready for an afternoon of engagement.

Eddie
I know I'm labeled as a Eustace hater, but he deserves more criticism than he gets for being complicit in all of this. I'll say it, once again, he knew what he was getting himself into and took a job just after the last manager had lost patience and downed tools. Not only did he take the job under those circumstances, but he's being a very good boy when it comes to sticking to the right messaging in public. There's been the odd hint of slight frustration, but, as the window has dragged on, most of that has disappeared and we now have a manager spouting the club messaging about injuries, difficulty in replacing players, and the challenges of a Championship season. I have absolutely no respect for any Rovers member of staff in a public-facing position at this point.
Ghost7
This isn’t just a money issue, it’s a functionality issue too when it’s left in the hands of Waggott. We’ve seen it before, contracts get neglected etc. Smaller clubs that have generated less revenue are operating better than Rovers. Absolutely not what the players or manager deserve. We will never be successful with Suhail, Waggott and Venky’s. They would all have to go.

So do we want JE to do a JDT and then get cut off from press conferences then leading to his exit? JE did know what he was coming in to but he’s handling it very well and any criticism of him regarding all this is just an agenda or dislike of him

These Punatics don't do strategy. Hand to mouth, bottom feeding scrap merchants this lot,, but sadly not in the tradition of those who built the club in the glory days many of us all too fondly recall.
