Time for Gestede to delivered 3 quality signings now before the deadline and ideally at least 1/2 before the PNE game. 

I think the criticism of Forshaw signing is OTT and people angry shouldn't be aimed at him at all. He is steady player and We aren't going to be able to sign similar quality and type of player that Tronstad and Travis are.

If we want pace and zero footballing ability surely our recruitment should go to athletics. Hes a donkey.

No one said we could get someone on par with Travis and Tronstad. Like with Baker, there will be a downgrade. But he was a Championship standard, decent downgrade. Its the level of the downgrade to Forshaw that is the issue.

F*ck you Venkys, Waggot and Pasha. I hate you with every inch of my soul. You have once again f**ked our season by refusing to spend money whilst we watch winnable games drift by. We needed difference maker players in during the first 2 weeks of Jan instead we've lost 3 on the bounce to relatively crap teams.

If he was donkey would he really be playing football at Championship level. Your comments against players is laughable. Similar to Wallace being past it but today he played up front and scored. Not bad for has-been is it?

We are talking about a back up squad player not a regular starter or key player.

Eustace is performing miracles. Squad's paper-thin, ravaged with injuries and even before that is pretty shite.  We have no pace, no creativity and no (frequent) goal scorer.    The squad at present, is relegation fodder.  We need to spend a good 10-15m to get some assets onto the books and make us competitive.  It's not happening..   Wish Venkys would sod off.

I agree with everything but the last part.

You don't need to spend £10m-15m, but you do need to scout carefully. We could easily sign 5 or 6 of the top young players in L1, L2 and Scotland if we were proactive.

I know we are talking about a squad player.

My point is pretty clear. Wont be able to get quite as good as the main 2. But its not a case of, well we cant get someone is good so it doesnt matter how bad he is. Baker was reasonable cover, not as good as the main 2 but still a solid player. Forshaw is not good enough to provide reasonable cover.

Had we signed Jason Lowe for the role, you could still use your argument. As if you are saying, it doesnt matter how bad he is, we arent going to get as good as Tronstad or Travis and hes a squad player so why does it matter.

Why can’t we sign similar quality to travis and tronstad? They aren’t xavi and iniesta.

From memory Tronstad was a well scouted free agent from a middling Dutch league team. 

 

As much as Gregg got a lot of grief (in part for how corporate he was) he was head and shoulders above Gestede.  Have we renewed a contract under the current DoF?

No, we haven't. Gestede is proving himself to be a liability and just another chancer. We're back to running contracts down and letting players go for nothing it seems.
