no @MarkBRFCI haven't accept any sort of mediocre but understand that Travis and Tronstad are our key players and any players are going to be behind them in the pecking order. I did think Eustace would rotate more with Baker playing more but he didn't.

Yes @arbitro we all want quality player signings. We haven't reinvested the money we received for Wharton and Szmodics like we should have done. The summer was the time to reinvest that money into a couple more quality signings. in this window we need a left side attacking player, striker and left back

the Nixon news is Rovers still after Lewis O'Brien who Preston wanted aswell. Also Nixon in reply to my question is he our Main target has said its still live

Even if whoever we signed wasnt as good as those 2. You are defending Forshaw as if there isnt a sliding scale of how inferior any player is to those 2.

My issue isnt even that Forshaw isnt as good. It is that he is so much worse, that he isnt good enough to step in.

If there was any truth in the O'brien news, he'd probably rather go to Preston for less money anyway than get fucked about by us again. We've massively impacted his career. It appears he actually enjoyed his time in the US, but it hasn't exactly pushed his career to the next level like a potential promotion and stint in the premier league would have. Still pisses me off thinking about that whole shambles, he was exactly what we needed at that time too 🤬

Alan story is they have backed away so don’t understand how it can be still alive …. The guy is on 40k per month … most we would offer is 12 ! It will be an auction…. Likes of Hull will blow us away …..

That should end it but Nixon's a journalist.

I realise we need new players in badly but surely our priority should be the strike force. I’m a bit ambivalent about O’Brien. When we tried to sign him originally he’d just come off a season at Hudds were he was probably the best midfield player in the comp. He signed for Forest and within 4 months they were prepared to loan him out. OK, that’s a higher level of football and Forest was a conveyor belt of new players at that time.

But what has he done since then ?   If we’re looking to bet the ranch on a player I’d like it to be a striker.

Saw a few posts on Facebook yesterday from fans still stating the old "if we didn't have Venkys where else would we be" rubbish...

Our fan base is honestly one of the most infuriating group of people you could come across... How and why are morons still using that line?

They do realise where we were pre Venkys don’t they…

Listen John, you don't want championship experience.  What does that mean anyway?  What you want, and I'm talking to you as a friend here, is a Kargbo.  Fresh from the continent, years ahead of the stuff you'd get over here.  As a deal, I'll throw in the ceramic coating and some mats.  How's that sound?  144 monthly repayments, my friend Rudy inside can deal with that fine print for you.

Oh and bring a couple of cushions, it's a bit of a bumpy ride....

Rovers will go back in for Kargbo up bid from 800k to 1 million euros … final bid .. They want 1.2 ….

Kargbo is desperate to come … his agent will make it happen from his side But still waiting on this second bid …. But like with Ryo Germain even if the bid is accepted & agreed these guys are in a world of their own !

Unleaded as a personal favour can you tell whoever your contact is that this is all getting upsetting and frustrating and on a personal level if they can just sign someone not completely shite I'd be very appreciative

So we’re quibbling over around £170k or about 1% of Wharton’s fee.

Cos they would be back up players cos if Tronstad and Travis are fit, they start for certain.

Baker was good back up but since going back to Stoke, he is starting games there

There was a time when we sold our top scorer & crowd hero because we believed we could sign someone better to improve the team. We then dropped that strikers best mate to bring in someone better.
If you aren’t improving your starting XI you’re going backwards.

The obvious question is why won’t they cough up the money for O’Brien for a few months? If they had even the slightest interest in the club surely they would do that for Eustace? We could have done it last week and he could have replaced Forshaw yesterday! It must be getting even tricky for the Snake oil salesman Waggot to explain this degree of negligence. They’ve brought in 40million quid in sales and he says they always sign a cheque when asked. Make it make sense!

It shouldn’t be a glimmer because is negligence of the highest order but that glimmer I have is waggott will have nowhere to hide this time around

last two years they have hid behind ‘legal issues’ meaning they couldn’t comment on O’Brien / McGuire fiascos - this Jan there is none of that (yet) he’s in the firing line for sure

Personally I like Kargbo … came on last 20 min yesterday with his team playing with 10 ….. plays in Hedges position was fast & direct … hit the post from which the penalty was awarded …Fans favourite which is a good marker … would rather have a permanent then a ACD / Jed Wallace type who would be off in 4 months…

Any other players we want? Can't just be after Kargbo surely 😔😔

Indeed mate, fair comments.

But those without the experience of pre-Venkys can surely look at the state of the club and realise that things aren't right... Maybe... 🤣

A few of the posters do seem of an age to know what it was prior to them having ownership of the club, it just seems we have a serious naivety within the fan base, it's delusional.
