Once again a refreshingly different perspective from the LT board:

Couldn’t agree more. If we were safely nested in mid table those posters baying for blood would be quite satisfied after last season. . Unfortunately a decent mini run that got us into a decent league position has raised the level of self entitlement to new heights. None of those could have anticipated the squad being decimated by injuries which will undoubtedly have added to the boards decision making headaches on recruitment. Just for the hard of hearing, we have NO money to spend on an oven ready mythical striker that’s going to push us onto certain promotion.. Not one of them has come up with a name that would allow us to scale those heights, how much they would cost and where the money would come from. Relative to the finances of the club, we had a successful summer window compared to previous seasons, including Cantwell let’s not forget and some are still not happy. When are some people going to finally realise we have very little money to spend and any recruitment is based on wheeling and dealing, searching for hidden gems and trying to convince those hidden gems that a small town club with small attendances and relatively low wages is worth coming to.

It really is mind blowing on the LET, some moronic mindsets over there amidst the Venkybots, oh and that absolute ****er called Reg … scary that a large chunk of the fanbase share their mindsets

Selling Dolan was more for money than letting him go for free

Which is pointless, as he will only leave for free if he moves abroad, and if 40 million received didn't create any appreciable transfer fund, 2 mill or so certainly isn't.

i don`t think he offers much tbh, flatters to deceive going forward, gives the ball away a lot and is easily dispossesed,in no way looks like he`s going to be anything but a lower league player

He has quality but this is first loan and I don't think we should expect too much. We need a player who can used pace to get behind but also last longer than 50/55 mins

Chaddy your fully aware as to why we aren’t in contention so it shouldn’t come as surprise to you

Its the type of striker signing we should be making and someone who we should be signing. We need that quality striker who I would like permanent one if possible

Also my point stands that we will judge Rudy on these next 8 days and the quality he brings in.

I know we can’t get  no one through the door now we’re talking about cancelling loans and trusting that same recruitment set up that’s currently failed us

madness

some signings work out and some don't. For example take Hirst who struggled here but at Ipswich has been major part in their 2 promotions they have achieved and now playing PL football.

I think we could do better but also someone who can impact games much more. We already need to understand this his first professional loan and I think expectations on him were too nigh

West Brom, Norwich City and Luton Town are interested in a move for FC St. Gallen striker Willem Geubbels, so why aren't Rovers? We could a buy given what we have taken in money wise or even loan to obligation to buy in the summer. This is smart player transfer Rovers should be doing. Time for Gestede to deliver quality for Eustace, the players and the fans. You will be judge on this Rudy and the quality you bring in the finally 8 days of the window

This player looks very good on this video and just what we need up front.

I know it’s spelt differently, but that’s still an unfortunate surname!

Missing the point entirely

we haven’t been able to get our priority targets in with 26 days gone

your talking about cancelling a loan for a player who’s probably just settling in to trust our recruitment team to get another one in - when they haven’t even addressed the main issues already

brave man

as for the striker I agree - but we won’t compete with Leeds/luton plus didn’t you say Eustace wanted experience?

also Rudy is done for me already hopefully we do get some good additions and happily cheer and support them but it’s near too late already 3/12 points form a decent set of fixtures and in 2/3 games those priority signings could have been the difference unforgivable

Guebbels is the type of player that would fall into the brentford model, as would Aasgard, young 20s players.

Willing to give Kargbo a go, looks like a left winger which we badly need, has bags of pace which we need more than anything.

Suspect we will get a loan deal done for Danns too.

Then it has to centre midfield, can’t be happy with the options there.

Sell Dolan

Yeah, was going to say you can bring a keeper in an emergency anyhow can't you?

Yep, if you have no professional ‘keepers available.

In terms of this regulation, I believe Pears and Toth are the only two who count (5+ first team starts for a league team)

Settling in? Overlook the points he cant last longer 50/55 mins? Not the game changing loan signing we hope for?

This guy isn't a novice when he has European football this season

He has 8 days left to prove you wrong.

I wouldn't be surprised if Rovers sign Spurs's striker Dane Scarlett on loan. Then add Kargbo and a cheap/loan left back in

I certainly wouldnt have any faith in Gestede. But the likely limiting factor is again going to be a lack of money from the owners, rather than any employee over here.

I'm not a massive fan of ACD personally. I don't think he offers too much going forward and I would be tempted to cancelled his loan and bring in another winger instead

His loan has been underwhelming. That being said, he has at least matched Hedges' goal record of 1 goal albeit he took 5 starts rather than 22.

He is more likely to run at his man (he created a chance in his cameo yesterday having done so) but he missed a lot of games injured and since his return to fitness he hasnt really took off.

Why would we be doing that? You said we likely had a budget of around £5 million.

That's why you need to smart and clever in the recruitment department

You are obsess with putting Hedges down at every opportunity.

Dane Scarlett would be about right. Oxford didnt want him and his other 2 loans prior were unsuccessful. Would go well with the veteran unwanted by Plymouth.

Scarlett wasn't unwanted by Oxford at all, but Spurs recalled him over the lack of playing time. He scored 4 goals in 20 games whilst their main 9 striker Mark Harris has 5 goals in 26 games.

what do you based his other 2 loans were unsuccessful

Can you have a mindset when you don't have a brain?
