With Garrett gone that means we can register 3, let's see if anything actually comes to fruition although I'm not holding out for much.

It doesnt. Not sure if he is underage anyway but even if not, he wasnt registered as he was out on loan.

Come off it - Brittain,Hyam and Szmodics cost £5-6 m.

Gueye Ohashi and Cantwell cost £2m if that.  The comparison is between them and Wahlsted/O'Riordan/Ennis/Telalovic/Hirst etc etc

And Szmodics' sale paid for the lot of them. With possible transfer interest in Brittain pending to make more profit.

You can't just cherry pick the best signings of the new era to sit against the worst signings of the last era. I made it a fairer comparison.

Underage players (those under 21) do not have to be registered in the 25-player squad list for English Football League (EFL) clubs.

EFL Squad Registration Rules

25-Player Limit: Clubs must submit a list of up to 25 players for league matches.

U21 Exemption: Players under the age of 21 (as of January 1 of the relevant season) do not count toward this limit and do not need to be registered in the 25-player squad.

Homegrown & Academy Players: Clubs are encouraged to develop young players, and U21s from academies can freely participate without impacting the squad limit.

So, underage players can still play in league matches without being officially listed in the 25-player squad.

For every day that goes by without any confirmed signings, the more likely this transfer window will end up in a complete disaster. One can only hope they announce someone later tonight (Kargbo?) like they did with the Sanderson loan but wouldn't count on it. Even if the club does a bit of business this late on, they've already played six league matches in January and has dropped valuable points in the play-offs race solely due to inactivity/lack of strategy in the transfer market.

Sanderson was clearly Eustace's pick as they probably knew by then that McFadzean was leaving. Forshaw was clearly a panic move (recruitment team pretty much calling every Championship club to see who's available at a low/no cost) after Baker was recalled. When injuries started to pile up (Pickering, Travis, Tronstad), no one even reacted or backed the team with loan signings for temporary cover. Would seriously doubt if Waggott has any clue which players to look for, and Gestede doesn't remotely have the experience or connections that John Park had. Adam Owen? No idea.

It's an absolute shambles that the club will (most likely) try to sign players on Deadline Day when they could very well prove to be a determining factor as to whether the team can push on for a top-6 finish or collapse all the way to mid-table or even further. Especially considering the fact that Szmodics was sold for decent money with the team being in desperate need of (quality) attacking reinforcement ever since. I would argue the following play-off rival teams have gotten stronger squads due to their winter transfer activity: Middlesbrough, Norwich, Sheffield Utd. and Sunderland. You can also make the case that Coventry has a stronger squad than ours and are likely to climb further up the table as well now that they are on a good run.

Players and head coach are once again left without backing yet no one seems to care. However, it's still expected that fans are to be 'grateful' towards the owners and continue to pay for tickets with their hard-earned money to support the team without getting anything back other than watching a club in decline. Just sad really.

A poster on the Plymough forum said Forshaw was on £ 12,500.00 a week and they were glad to be shut of him.

Not sure how true, or how much we might be paying him.

Who the feck are the next two? The fella from Plymouth and the other one from Hibs?

Is there anything in this Mostafa? We're going to end up with Kargbo and nothing else. Let's be honest.

Sat having my prematch pint in Ewood Club partly dreading the match against knobenders.

Only until 2027 (no mention yet of an option).  seems a very short deal.

It seems that the only players contracted beyond 2027 are currently Atcheson & O'Riordan (although Pickering, Gueye and Ohashi do have options that would take them to 2028)

Majorly underwhelming, and even if it wasn't, why on earth wasn't this sorted earlier in the week so he could play tonight?

They'd clearly seen how pissed off fans were getting and Waggott feared a bit of stick tonight, deflection tactic was unveiling a new player pre game.

I imagine Nixon says the other two because he's published stories on the Egyptian striker and the Hibs forward, as well as regularly stating interest in O'Brien. He probably he means 2 from those 3.

The site is totally up the swanny this evening - tiny font, missing functionality, no way to pick up notifications, random pages missing, constantly resetting itself and going back to the start - SOUNDS LIKE A VIRUS AT THE SERVER END, MODS!! 😞
