I was reflecting - how on earth are we 5th after 2 wins in 9. This league is there for the taking. Over to you Venkys & Pasha. I expect to be disappointed. They wouldn't sign Danns and another centre forward surely ,I don't think Liverpool would be keen on loaning him if we spent significant for us funds on a striker and already have Gueye and Ohashi.Due to Danns age I doubt Liverpool would insist he start every game due to his age but they would want him getting decent minutes Preferably we secure a permanent striker but if we are going the loan route on a young striker then money should be spent on a goalscoring number 10 or a right winger that has goals in him 1 Quote

roversfan99 Posted February 2 Posted February 2 What a dreadful window it would be if our new striker and final signing was just a kid on loan. 2 Quote

A lot of energy, unafraid and takes players on… the type of player that makes things happen. And everyone who comes through the LFC academy these days are tactically sound and hard-working. Would walk straight into our team. I'd prefer someone to charge in like a bull in a china shop to be fair - we are pedestrian enough across the middle and front as it is. There's only on Jack Walker. The other Walkers were problematic and sold us down the river to the Punatics, 1 Quote

Agreed, but I think he’d be more of a Harvey Elliott in terms of impact than an ACD or Morton. Danns looks a quality player. Quote
Darwen Rover 007 Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Personally I think if someone's core and or religious beliefs do not want to 'promote' something they should be allowed to 'stand back / be excluded'. Of course if someone is promoting hate for any group then that's a different matter altogether. 5 Quote
chaddyrovers Posted February 2 Author Posted February 2 @Ricky You might just get Danns to Rovers striker signng. fter reading Nicko's replies to people asking questions, Eustace is keen on this deal but he is not convince Liverpool are keen on loaning him out. So we see. I can understand why you are keen on him. I would prefer a striker with goalscoring record and more experience than Danns. From Nicko article, its appears that Lewis O'Brien wants to play for a team challenging for playoffs/promotion. Also he has confirmed we are looking at left back's also. Its getting busy now with most Championship teams needs signings before the deadline. 1 Quote

That's a cracking signing for them. is it tho? do they really need another wide player but if you speak to Burnley's fans what they lack is goalscorer and Parker to let the brake off. Quote
TheRevAshton Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Danns is quick, direct, strong and hungry to prove his potential - think he’d be a fantastic signing personally. Looks class from what I’ve seen and is well beyond his years. Fetch him in if possible, he’ll probably be worth over £50m in the next 2/3 years this lad. 5 Quote

It's very easy to see how this Window pans out. I have no doubt in my mind, if Danns is to be loaned out, he will come here. Then we will sign Fulham's 5th choice LB as cover and that will be it. Nobody can say that's a good window. Where's the "money" we apparently bid for that striker abroad? What about the money on Youan? It's all so predictable. Edited February 2 by BankEnd Rover 2 Quote

It’s quality players we need who are athletic and can cope with the demands of the Championship. Harvey Elliott was slower than Hedges but has 10 times the quality. Danns, from what I’ve seen, is a big powerful unit who is no slouch. He also looks a good footballer who will score and create goals. 8 Quote
Emerald Isle Rover Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Busy weekend Friday night was massive it’s allowed fans to ease off a touch and give the recruitment team one last roll of the dice (still believe we should have been on the ball a lot earlier) kargbo - happy to give him a chance positives - pace and relatively match fit negatives - contract length a concern and how long it’s took to get a summer target let alone Jan Mohamed - don’t think it will happen anyway but top player religious beliefs not relevant for me (refusing to play though is a massive no) danns - like the look of him match fit and decent minutes (for his age/position) at Liverpool highly thought of….loan is annoying though O’Brien - can always do with a good squad I haven’t mentioned forshaw much as I think I needed to see him - iv now seen 3 games he’s not good enough so cover at cm would be good but only at a decent wage cut for me still the recruitment team have a lot to answer for regardless of the next 48 hours but fair play to je and the team even in our worst period of the season we’re still in playoffs mentioned the other day I think 6th this season won’t get to 70 point teams all around too inconsistent so if substantially backed with fund that we DO have we have a right chance….not hopeful though 2 Quote
