Putting up with Hedges and Dolan for the rest of the season is just torture. Praying Kargbo is a beast. Popular Post TheRevAshton
We're 1 point above Middlesbrough in the table, though they have a very tough game-in-hand tonight against Sunderland. Their window so far... Morgan Whittaker George Edmundson Samuel Iling-Junior Ryan Giles Mark Travers Kelechi Iheanacho Compare that to ours... the difference is absolutely astronomical. That there is how it's done, that is ambition. What our owners have done, and continue to do, is absolutely unforgiveable. Pocketing fortunes from selling our best players, one of which is a born-and-bred Rover and product of Jack's Academy... then having the Club feed off scraps for replacements. Absolute scum of the highest order. Edited February 3 by TheRevAshton

Absolute scum of the highest order. But but but it's a hard window to do business in! Middlesbrough must not have got the memo about money in from sales only coming in instalments making it impossible to spend anything on new signings. One club that tries, another club that couldn't give a flying fcuk about what happens, the gruesome twosome's jobs are secured with Championship status.

I still don't know how they manage to pull it off financially, or why Carrick is still seen as a fantastic manager - he's had an embarrassment of riches for this level.

If you have a wealthy owner (one who cares about the club) and make an annual big sale, then you can skirt FFP/Profit & Sustainability despite spending more than you receive because of how transfer fees are counted on the balance sheet in the accounts. Incoming fees counted all at once, outgoing fees split over the length of the contract. Agree that Carrick is overrated Edited February 3 by KentExile

I don't think we were ever in for a CM this late, we have 4 fit midfielders already with another to come back, sure we can debate the quality of some of those but I don't think they ever wanted another midfielder.

Mentioned him before, I'd 100% have him but looks like WBA won't release until they find a replacement...The way Eustace interview goes is that he's confident we will bring in a striker...Those words wouldn't come out his mouth unless the deal was close to being done.

Ribeiro + one other I don't know why, but he does indeed seem confident. Either he knows something we don't (very possible) or he still has a bit of naivety about just how shit things are here. Could be that he doesn’t want to give too much away. Honestly, I’m farrrrr from a pessimist. But I know he offered his resignation in the summer when they pulled the rug from under him, having promised him the McGuire cash if he kept them up. I PRAY that the striker is one he wants, and I would prioritise JE’s happiness over my opinion on their quality, because them signing some obscure 28yr old Mali international will not cut it. We might be about to piss all over our own chips with Eustace. We likely already have…🙈

They've been desperate to sell him for a while. They will of had 8million back for him tho 2million pound loans each time

This is how it should work but in opposite land of Venky FC we only get the money in installments and therefore couldn't possibly buy anyone.

Shameful really.
