And he certainly has that even if he hasn't been brilliant or even fit as of late haha. I'm hoping ohashi coming back in a month comes back firing like the beginning of the season. Woodrow looks like a L1 player. Did well for Barnsley there. He's also 30 so he's not going to get any better. It would be another bizarre signing from a group of bizarre people. 1 Quote
Popular Post M_B Posted February 3 Popular Post Posted February 3 Woodrow seems a bit left field, even for our lot. Don't shoot me, but seems more likely to be a Eustace request. Has he got any past links with him?? 3 minutes ago, Darwen Rover 007 said: Dennis a loan? No, his mum's with him. 11 Quote

I think it gives us a much better chance of finishing top 6 then signing a young striker from PL who has played at this level before. 16 minutes ago, roversfan99 said: Do you have any concerns about the deal, or is it all positive? Lets see what the deal actually is first. 16 minutes ago, roversfan99 said: Lack of game time, not a prolific goalscorer? The lack of game time could be an issue but we don't know how fit he is and what he has been doing at Forest. He has scored goals at PL and championship level 16 minutes ago, roversfan99 said: Do you have any concerns about how many of our players are on short term deals? I have mentioned recently that Rovers need to get our key players on long term deals like Brittain, Pears, Hyam, Travis and Tronstad. In fact, you respond to me asking about Hedges and Dolan, so I don't get why you asking again when I have been more than clear what we need to be doing 16 minutes ago, roversfan99 said: Our wingers are a weak area so I was thinking at times if we had Kargbo and Dennis either side, we could still have Gueye (or Ohashi down the middle) and Cantwell behind and they are both dying for some pace to run in behind which theyd have. Dennis a striker, so play him there. what your opinion on Woodrow coming here? Edited February 3 by chaddyrovers Quote
Bbrovers2288 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I’m actually not dead against the Woodrow one if true, wanted him when he was at Barnsley , scored some cracking goals and has previous with brittain. he is by far a better option than shankland 3 Quote

Seems overkill now seeing we only play with 1 striker unless theres a change of formation comkng We are still short in midfield I agree. Woodrow is often more of a number 10 and Dennis is comfortable wide so I guess there is scope for more than 1 to start. Quote

Based on stats alone you’d have to say Shanklands numbers are better. Shankland also younger. I’ve not watched much of either of them so I was looking at it solely on the numbers. 1 Quote
roversfan99 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I wonder which player wont be registered if we dont fuck something up and get both. 1 Quote

Not exactly an upgrade but Harry needs more playing time for his development. Would've liked for the club to try signing another target man like Gueye as we don't have a backup that can do his job. Leonard is currently injured. Quote

Woodrow is crap. Dennis was a good player, questions surround not playing for so long. Much happier with him. You? 1 Quote

booth Posted February 3 Posted February 3 37 minutes ago, chaddyrovers said: I never mentioned Venkys in my posts have I. Now your bitterness is coming through cos I have faith we would sign a quality striker. Dennis fits that Forest won't include an option to buy him. Play him up front. We got 4 wide players and it does give us the option of going 2 up front for games or during games. Dennis is someone mentioned on here earlier in the window and I mentioned last couple of weeks he would be the sort of loan which would be a quality one 36 minutes ago, MarkBRFC said: Are you not concerned that he hasn't played a game in over 9 months? 1 Quote
