I’m actually not dead against the Woodrow one if true, wanted him when he was at Barnsley , scored some cracking goals and has previous with brittain.
he is by far a better option than shankland

no he really is`nt,shankland is`nt great but at least he knows where the net is and is a fine finisher, not sure woodrow offers much these days,he left his best behind in barnsley

What makes him the better option over Shankland? Based on stats alone you’d have to say Shanklands numbers are better. Shankland also younger.

I’ve not watched much of either of them so I was looking at it solely on the numbers.

I’m Scottish and watch a fair bit of spl, shankland is slow, overweight and generally unfit. He was generally blamed for Naismith getting binned early in the season as hearts were bottom and he was missing good chances galore, generally feeling was that he was having his purple patch season last year and now he is where he is more at. He is not champ quality, he would really struggle in the league. Not quick, not tall/ strong, think dickov without the grittiness

Woodrow is crap.

You?

I wanted Woodrow to sign here when at Barnsley. If he was crap he wouldn't be pro footballer.

I'm ok with this signing. nothing special but an option as striker or number 10

"Woodrot could be leaving"

"We signed him two years too late."

"Woodrow was a League 1 player at best never a championship player."

"nit been great and would but likely do a job down a league"

Chaddy I admire your perseverance but you’ll never convince a lot of these otherwise. They’re not tuned in for this.

Obviously crap relative to the standard.

Not a fan of the signing.

Are any of the 4 we have signed and 2 we are trying to ones you arent too keen on? Out of interest. And I know we give them all a chance, judge when here etc.

I have the feeling that whoever Eustace gets he can make a good player of him....Gueye Ohashi Beck Tronstad Batth Hyan Brittain Travis has all made huge progress this season! Hopefully Kargbo takes the next step.

Woodrow played around 30 games in the Premier League last season...not that bad...got experience but would prefer Dennis and Woodrow as backup. Still Gueye the main man.

he`s got nothing left,he was very useful at barnsley agreed, but left his best in yorkshire,i see him as the forward version of forshaw, old, slow and arthritic

Both players being reported close to signing on the BBC now - a trusted source.

Have to say Woodrow ‘s goalscoring record doesn’t inspire. What do they see in him except a cheap shirt filler? Desperation signing

To be fair he was good for Barnsley but that's where he seems to have peaked.

I've read that at Luton he was used mostly a sub. Not sure how true that is.

If those two deals get done (IF!) then Rudy has just about pulled it out of the bag. Dennis is a very good signing and the success or failure of this window was going to come down to the striker signing.

Woodrow is not great and it would have been abysmal if he was our main signing, but he's better than Hedges who he'll displace. Never seen Kargbo play but he has to be better than Dolan.

An attacking line up of Dennis, Woodrow, Cantwell and Kargbo is far > than Gueye, Hedges, Cantwell, and Dolan.
