Well if his type is Gueye (no pun intended) then he needs a new type

There are certain ‘types’ of players you want round the dressing room and team - gueye at present seems to at least have that respect work ethic and whilst his finishing has a lot to be desired he has 6/7 goal contributions - but isn’t good enough I agree for what we need but it’s only half a season in new country etc

Connolly is known to be a bad influence and I can’t foresee why Eustace would want him round the squad regardless of what potential he may or May not have

5'7" CF? No thanks.

Shearer wasn't massive, just focused and tenacious... Matt Jansen wasn't a giant either 😉

Can't say there's bern a single name mentioned so far that is worthy of a bit of excitement.

Venky shit show.

Iv been down on the window and rightly so to date

but the confirmed link with kitching from Elliot wasn’t mentioned or touted by anybody at all not even the great sir Alan Nixon

so weirdly that gives me hope (it’s all I’m clinging to tbh)

If I'm being absolutely honest, I've sat through every single transfer window thinking surely we are going to sign a goal scorer since we sold Adam Armstrong.

I'm still waiting. I'm not even meaning a £10m striker, I mean taking a punt on League One or League Two's top goalscorers or something similar from abroad if we are skint. We have signed nobody with anything like a scoring record at any level for window after window.

From past interviews Waggott always drips about how hard transfers are to do in January, so I'm just giving up now expecting one rather than refreshing twitter all day on deadline day thinking surely ...

Well known that he had a clause that he had to play X amount of games or there was a heavy financial penalty.

I believe that was speculation, which was never confirmed anywhere.

In fact, I have it in mind that it was refused by someone at the club.

I not even sure it's allowed.

Another striker option, Aaron Connolly, felt we should’ve looked at him in summer. Out of favour at Sunderland and only on a short term deal, might come in and grab 5/6 goals. Questions always been over his attitude but I’ve been impressed a few times we’ve played against him.

he`s been out of favour at every club he`s played for, overweight, unfit, not very good and a bad attitude

He's also a massive pisshead.

If you can't control your alcohol intake whilst being handsomely paid to be a professional footballer, that speaks volumes on it's own.

I did say the Morton rumour I heard was completely unfounded as in a very very weak basis , simply shared what I had heard. I don’t believe there is any substance to it

So he's signing tomorrow then. Got ya

Pretty sure they did, I just couldn't be bothered searching online for the article, to be honest.

I'm quite sure it's not permissible, saying you'll definitely play a player if he's available, irrespective of form or ability.

It’s definitely allowed and happens all over. It’s just an add on.

Sunderland signing a midfielder from Roma with a promotion clause of £20m while we’re looking at a lad who can’t get a game for Cov 😄

Ahh... you're supposed to do those kind of deals on deadline day and then conveniently f*ck it up.

What are they thinking!
