Go all in for Ferguson at Brighton. Would be the perfect loan striker.

If Fergusson gets a loan, it will be to a bottom half Premier League team, not a cash starved Championship team.  He signed a contract last season after he had established himself as a Premier League striker, which would come with Premier League wages.

Well out of reach

Keep seeing this suggested - not a snowball's chance in hell we'll get him. There will be a queue of Prem clubs waiting to take him on before anyone in the Championship even gets a look in, and it won't be us.

I hope I live to be proven wrong and Swag generously throws in a chip butty and a barm cake and a massage from one of the kit ladies and that seals the deal somehow, but doubt it's on the cards.

Pretty sure Rovers will recall Conor O Riordan in January ...doesn't get games...

Would love to see us go for Wigans Thell Aasgars 22 year old and Poku at Peterborough...that would be something. Add a premier loan striker and a prem loan defender and we would be in for a play off place.

Must still be money from Wharton and Szmodics sales. And Raya.

It was only what I hope for... I know for sure it won't happen with these type of owners but what a change it would be if it did happen...can they in some way realize we have potential...they will never learn.

it`s ******* annoying that tiny enclaves like brentford and bournemouth are playing in the top division and the likes of us are languishing in a comatose state,i know we don`t have a divine right to play top flight football but ffs we should be trying to get there, just **** off you indian crooks and take the useless ceo with you

With Wharton and Carter out, we definitely need a CB in January - a loan would do for this.

Without a doubt we should be looking at James Hill, he's played next to no football this season and was doing fantastic for us before he was recalled last Jan. A loan with an option to buy would be brilliant.

We'd then need a winger and a striker.

I bet we'll go back in for that Godo from Fulham. Would sooner see us sign Poku permanently, but just can't see that happening.

Wouldn't be surprised to see us sign Ryo Germain, but hope we instead/also move for someone with a proven goal record in the Championship - like Oli McBurnie for example.

I'd rather just a loan and for them not to insult our intelligence pretending there is a chance to buy.

I think we need a centre half that can also cover right back (James Hill is a great shout), a left winger, and a striker.

We apparently have an interest in Poku but so do most teams in this league probably so that won't happen. Godo very nearly signed in the summer so that's a good suggestion too, he'll likely be on the list again. The Sierra Leone guy Kargbo has also been heavily linked.

Nicko wrote recently we'd ideally like a striker with championship experience in Jan. Doesn't everyone in this league! That's the problem. Decent strikers cost big money which is why we shop in the bargain basement for them. Ohashi has been a good find though.

The James Hill situation never made much sense for the player

He was having a terrific season in Championship football but found himself playing cover for a team in the PL instead

Since then, he has done nothing of note in football terms. He must be wondering when his chance will come. Footballers want to play. He will have played less than 50 games in 3 years if this continues. I'd take him here in a heart beat. Felt he was one of the more complete defenders we have had in recent memory

I agree, there aren’t many players that can play right back and centre half equally well but he could.

An absolute no brainer if he and the club would be willing to sanction it - it's time like this you wish we had a way of nudging the club or getting them to read BRFCS

I think we need a striker, wide player and centre half minimum.

I'd also like another centre mid personally as the depths poor if Trav or Tronstad get injured.

Possibly another right back too if he doesn't think Duru is ready.

If we get 2 I'll be surprised.

If we get anyone who walks straight into the first eleven, I will be surprised.
