Had time to reflect. These are JE signings to keep him happy and show backing but not ones to judge the window on. They are merely bodies IMO. The next 2/3 incomings are what we must judge our ambition on. Not holding out much hope but have calmed down and now contempt with Dion and Adam.

After the last 5/6 windows , It's completely natural for us fans to react how we are and to be worried.

Forshaw is literally a squad filler for Baker, I would argue Baker is the better of the two but in reality by how much?

I'd never heard of Dion Sanderson but clearly JE rates him. I just hope our window now turns around and we get some shrill business done rather than scraping the barrel.

Trying my best to be the optimist here which is rare for me although patience slowly dying off again...

Sanderson doesn't bother me. Blues fans can see a player in him and Eustace knows him. He's only 25 so plenty so his ability shouldn't be on the decline.plis when carter is fit, he is realistically 4th choice and may hardly get a look in.

Forshaw however has been slated at his last two clubs and I've never seen a reaction of derision to an incoming rovers transfer like that of the Plymouth fans. We know Waggot was involved in getting Fleck through the door somehow, and it looks from the outside like another 'favour' being done. Personally I hope he's just a squad filler and better is coming in as well. As someone said yesterday, Morton would be semi-exciting in comparison.

And for those who disagree, as ever both players will be supported on the ground and hopefully can prove us wrong.

We don't know. All we know is some Stoke fans were sorry to see Baker leave, he has been welcomed back and our resident Stokie on here said he'd do ok.

Whereas Plymouth fans unanimously are saying Are Blackburn’s recruitment team on smack?

Plus he's squad filler that may well need to start our next 3 league games. Baker would have.

No issue with either signing as squad fillers as we are thin on the ground. Clearly if we don’t also sign some good attacking players then my view on these signing will change.

If, as someone has said, Plymouth terminated Forshaw's contract, who is benefiting from this supposed  favour?

Im not against this signing at all. Nobody expected Batth to come in and play as many games as he has. Also many didn’t expect him to be as good as he has been based on him not playing much and not really being rated by the fans of his previous team.

 Blues fans I know seem to like Sanderson. Asked this morning and one comment was ‘some of Dions best performances were under big John’ and ‘he’s been very good at times but seems to have lost confidence’. 

I mentioned at the start of the window that I thought we may bring in CB cover and think that’s what we’ve done here. Wonder if he’ll replace Batth for next season when we have Carter and Wharton back as well.

I also have a blue nose mate who has said same about Sanderson. Could be a good signing. Forshaw would have been 5 yrs ago

What is anyone basing this ‘Eustace wanted forshaw on?’ Nixon? Reckon he’s picked up the phone and asked him if he’s happy with it?

There is no, and never will be, any actual evidence ‘it’s what Eustace wants’. People falling hook line and sinker for messages the club are feeding into the media.

Personally i think the signings improve the squad/options when injuries kick in but it signals that our ambitions are top 12 and not top 6

One fan said it with 20+ likes on said comment and a plethora of other happy comments that he is leaving. 
I won’t judge it on fans comments (see the likes of Bell leaving us etc.). But we currently only have 1 first team CM player and this hardly screams ‘hard working recruitment team’ - they’ve called around and picked the cheapest and easiest they can find - and to me that tells me that he will have to do for Portsmouth, Oxford, Coventry fixtures

Roy Cropper and Gail Platt would improve the current squad, that’s not the point.

Sanderson apparently was brilliant under Eustace but his form dipped after he left.

Forshaw not been great this season.

Similarity? Both were playing in very unsuccessful Wayne Rooney sides.

On paper they are underwhelming signings, but they are Rovers players now and until they’ve done wrong, let’s give them our support.
