Is that not the coaches job? Sunderland seem fine without an ‘experienced’ head during warm ups.

Coaches cant leave the coaching area, players who are warming up can

I am not saying its a great use of funds, but replacing that role that Fadz has had this season does make some sense

Sunderland can also spend £20M quid on a new player, we have Venkys and Waggott to contend with

Some interesting comments from JE in the post cup match interview (towards end of video):

Sort of suggesting that Forshaw and Sanderson are financially shrewd cover signings, and we’re saving our budget to invest on attacking talent.

It's the right decision to move Fadz on but he comes across as a top bloke, so good luck to him and he certainly played his part in keeping us up last season.

i thought he was going to stay here and join the coaching staff, comes across as someone who you listen to.fair enough if he wants to carry on playing

Oh dear ..... Eddie won't be happy! Lol.

I liked his comments about the tradition and importance of the FA Cup.

I can’t work out if he’s quietly confident of us spending some proper money in those forward areas, or worried we might not…

So we have gone from McFadzean to Sanderson and Baker to Forshaw

We haven't added to the squad but just 1 in 1 out at the moment

Don't worry.

"THE BIG SIGNINGS ARE COMING!"

(I've no idea why I'm reminded of Mowbray's "defenders" at this point.)

Re your last sentence, pretty much what Jackson said yesterday….keeping our powder dry for the attacking galatico’s!

With Carter 3-4 weeks away from a return he’s surely in line before Sanderson or McFadzean would have been.

We only ever do 1 in 1 out and we're more than likely shopping Sigurdson round the Nordics/Benelux to finance any attacking additions

Less pressure to rush Carter back now as well.

Travis will be back in training in the coming week...Buckley done well as cover today against fifth side Boro.

Buckley was comfortably the worst player on the pitch in that first half.

Here's a punt, Lewis Morgan from New York Red Bulls.

Done well enough out there, struggled slightly for Scotland and Celtic.  Out of contract in summer.  27 years of age.

Probably moving from the first to the second at this point.

Wish WBA would get a move on and confirm their managerial appointment.

Probably.

It seems they were hell bent on not paying compensation for anyone fortunately. I think (stand to be corrected) everyone they interviewed was out of work.

They even spoke to Mowbray apparently.
