How do you know that Bamford and Wallace (if true) are the only attacking signings the club is going to make?

I dont. And I dont know if they are coming here, we always discuss transfer rumours as if they will happen to discuss whether we would want them or not.

I wouldnt want those 2 here either way.

"Has been." A number of years ago. Now he he is constantly injured including for the next 4 weeks.

Wallace again was a good winger in his day, but is slowing down after an injury.

Wallace never had any pace. He is a technically good footballer who relied on his footballing ability rather than pace. He is very much a Eustace player…looks after the ball, works hard, good defensively.

Hes never been particularly quick but he could get half a yard at his peak and injuries have slowed him down.

Hes gone from being a very good player at this level to one that struggles to get game time.

And we badly need pace.

Don't really know anything about him but would it be unfair to say Hedges Mk 2 on the other side of the pitch?

I probably didn’t explain it very well - hopefully the following details will help (if not I’ll try again!!)

For court number 8 (the one the Venkys case is list for):

Cases 1-9 are described as ‘for admission’

Cases 10 - 58 are ‘after case misc matters’

Cases 59 and 60 are ‘final matters’

There are then a couple of further categories after that.

Can't see anything wrong with that tbf. You rattle through the short cases first so everyone isn't hanging around all day.

It will all hinge on how long case 59 takes if that's a final hearing. If it settles on the Court steps on the morning, we might be away.

For reasons previously mentioned by others, BBD probably wouldn’t come but he’s exactly the type of player we need. It is OK having strikers who don’t score as long as your wide forwards chip in and that is where a lot of teams get most of their goals. I wouldn’t mind Ohashi in the middle with BBD on the left and ACD on the right. The main problem then would be the number 10 role where we need more goals than Cantwell is currently providing

Yes, because Hedges has never offered the attacking threat that Wallace did at his peak. He was a really productive winger who scored and assisted plenty.

Its just now he is on the decline as he ages and after an injury, and has become surplus to requirements.

I don’t get the negativity towards Bamford? He has been a superb player at this level - Eustace is exactly the kind of manager to rekindle his finishing. Have no issues with it. Jed Wallace don’t know enough but isn’t he a very good set piece taker?

This season doesn’t bode well…plus he’s injured…

Makes no difference. Even if it gets heard and they are cleared, they had not shown any interest in the football club long before then.

I think some people think it would lead to a healthy transfer budget.

I like how you’ve decided how ‘we’ should discuss transfer rumours. Thanks for the rules update.

You dismiss the majority of signings without seemingly knowing much about the players involved. I’d imagine you dismissed Batth.

Wallace is a good, experienced Championship midfielder. He fits perfectly what JE appears to want. It’s clear he values experience, and Championship experience in particular. Wallace would be better than any other right midfielder at the club. You saying he’s ’slowing down’ is irrelevant to how effective he would be.

Leeds fans can't stand him. He's immobile, doesn't score and is on a huge wedge. Would be a disastrous signing.

Batth struggled to get ‘game time’

Again, it’s meaningless.

Any player we sign could come in and both positively and negatively defy initial opinions of his signing. Has happened many times.

If Eustace isnt arsed about pace and is only bothered about experience for example. Just because thats what he wants doesnt mean anyone needs to agree with that choice.

One of the areas that Eustace identified int the summer as lacking is in terms of pace. Its not been addressed and if anything the average age keeps going up. We struggle to counter attack teams and I also think our lack of pace in behind means that Cantwell in particulars impact is limited because we dont have players opening space for them.

We have wide men who are plodders who will graft and help their full back but dont open teams up. In my opinion thats what we need.

Wallace at his peak would really improve us, now I dont think hw would.

I can’t remember for sure, but I think one of Venkys earlier dates was listed around number 38 and was adjourned without being heard (lack of time).

Wallace at his peak never had any pace so you’ve negated your own argument.

We've not paid the annual subscription for the scouting software have we, were looking at 2020 stats - that's the only explanation I can come to.  Forshaw, Wallace and Bamford?

We need a tenacious backup midfielder, a lacy winger and a striker who can convert chances - these are the polar opposites

It's not meaningless - it's his opinion, no more or less valuable than your own.

FWIW if he was still good enough to make any sort of difference at this level I don't think one of our rivals for the play off places would be willing to send him here.

Sigh.

maybe we’ll get both.

nobody has ever said that we are only signing 2 more players. We might sign 4. We might sign 6. It might be Wallace and 5 Olympic sprinters.

Did u not watch the Burnley game? We struggled to stretch them because every time we attacked there was no one quick enough to get up the pitch
