Not overly against Wallace if it’s him plus another, like is well known our own CEO said we were targeting pace and power, Eustace the same. He doesn’t have either but is a decent player still.

Bamford on the other hand, I’ve been to/had to sit through a lot of Leeds games due to living here and they absolutely despise him. And rightly so, he’s shit.

I didn’t say that.

Fair enough but you said we need players that fit into Eustace's system. Jed Wallace isn't the answer.  We should be looking for wingers who can stretch the play. We have enough 'Jed wallace's ' on the wing

Sigh.

maybe we’ll get both.

nobody has ever said that we are only signing 2 more players. We might sign 4. We might sign 6. It might be Wallace and 5 Olympic sprinters.

It's more than likely we're not going to recruit more than 1 LW and 1 centre forward so basing the topic on that Wallace is not what we should be looking at. You seem to base a lot of things on what Eustace wants, fair enough but how do you know it's what he wants? Just because it's in writing?

The whole team lacks any pace, we are dull, we need some edge, any winger we look at needs to be direct and quick and ideally a resale value.

We are working on buttons, Wallace will cost, do you really think we'll will bring in 2 wingers?

You don’t know anything about Wallace if you think he’s like our other ‘wingers’.

And I gave reasons why he was a Eustace player. Unlike you and others I don’t just dismiss players with sweeping statements that can’t be proved.

So you’ve decided we aren’t going to sign anyone else so we can only judge Wallace on that basis.

What’s the fucking point 🤣

lol Im not saying he doesn't...But some posters are going off the gospel that Eustace wants a certain type of player, just because Alan Nixon has said so.

That’s fair yes and I’m in agreement actually until Nixon exclusively breaks something that comes to fruition then I’m standing by earlier posts that he is no longer in the know

but I do concede that Jed Wallace screams a John Eustace signing

but I don’t think either are true or even realistic

Wallace at his peak never had any pace so you’ve negated your own argument.

We need pace now.

If it was Jed Wallace at his peak or anywhere close, then he would be a great signing in spite of not being the quickest just because he was so good at this level.

He has never been particularly quick but he certainly had half a yard to be able to get past a full back to get a cross in. Hes on the decline now and not the player he was.

He is also on massive wages having got a huge contract when he signed on a free.

I probably didn’t explain it very well - hopefully the following details will help (if not I’ll try again!!)

For court number 8 (the one the Venkys case is list for):

Cases 1-9 are described as ‘for admission’

Cases 10 - 58 are ‘after case misc matters’

Cases 59 and 60 are ‘final matters’

There are then a couple of further categories after that.

Thanks. Do they hear them in strictly numerical order do you know?

Again, you’re wrong. I was discussing Wallace in the context of why I think He is a Eustace player. Nothing to do with Nixon. Try and engage with what is being said.

So we shouldn’t sign any players if they haven’t got ‘pace’, even if they are going to improve us?

And if can’t get pace ‘now’ should we also not sign anyone else?

I never said that. I just think that Jed Wallace wouldnt be a particularly good signing now, he would have been incredible 2 or 3 seasons ago. Im not convinced the Wallace of today would improve us. Hes also on a big contract.

If we say bought a quick winger, loaned in Jed Wallace and sold one or two of the plodders have, say Sigurdsson and Hedges. Then that would work. But I cant see that happening.

Wasn't the transfer policy at one time to only sign players under 26 so that they had a sell on value in the future ( if any good)

Now it seems the policy is signing players over 30 or more. I know these are only  possibilities and names being thrown about but no more please. Schlupp perhaps but that's it

Yep, the ‘model’ changes like the wind. Just continuous muddled thinking. We’ll be back to ‘resale value only’ again before the year is out.

Until we've seen him play , whether or not he would improve us is purely a matter of opinion. That seems to be a simple concept you are unable to get your head round so you revert  to your usual being objectionable to other posters.

I'd say that the benchmark for any signings this window has to be that they'd make enough of a difference to give us a real chance of going up via the play offs. I fail to see how Wallace would do that.

That again is my opinion that no doubt you will disagree with.

How are Wallace and Bamford past it at aged 30 and 31?

So who should we be signing then? What RF99 plan(or anyone) plan? Who should we be targeting?

Someone with pace Chaddy, what we’ve been crying out for, for about 5 years now.
