Random twitter guy (who i think got something correct in the summer?) Reckons Richard Kone and Derek Kutesa are high on our list.

Why delighted?

Hes hardly a prolific goalscorer.

Cos he is quality player. He scores goals at this level. He scored 2 goals against us last season. Has pace. Plus I suggested him a few days ago. Not interested in Coventry fans opinions either.

So who should we been signing instead please?

If we spend £1.75m on Brandon Thomas-A-fucking-sante, then I give up.

Could probably name 5 strikers off the top of my head, who you'd get way better value out of for that amount of money or less.

He doesn't bloody score! Good lord.

Go on then who are these 5 better strikers then?

I like Yuki, but BTA is a vast improvement on Gueye.

I like Yuki too. I think he's sttled in well all things considered. Remember,  he was also well into the J League season before joining us so he's probably knackered.

I  get the sense Cantwell  much prefers playing with Yuki than Gueye. Yuki has a football brain, Gueye sadly, hasn't.

I have high hopes that after a good rest and a full pre-season Yuki will prove an integral part of the team next year. Gueye on the other hand probably needs to be sold.

Just as your opinion doesn't mean much

I'd say we need a massive improvement not just a marginal upgrade which is why I pose the question of whether he is the best we can do for that sort of fee.

I think you have to factor in the fact we're currently 7th on merit. Yes, the squad needs work but 'massive improvement' seems to be a touch melodramatic.

thomas asante is certainly very lively,he`ll give us another dimension, gueye is`nt very good but is combative, yuki is a good footballer but lighweight and does`nt play of the centre backs shoulder and leonard is just a goal scorer who gets in the right positions but can`t put them away

id`e definately sign him,he`s probably better than what we`ve got, will coventry will sell at that price??

You keep asking me who I would sign. I keep telling you I dont know, I dont profess to know European football inside out to the point where I could recommend someone. I have seen lots of Thomas Asante though so feel like I can give an opinion on him.

You also keep saying that you dont care about what other fans think. I know. But presumably others are interested in how a player has done previously. So just scroll past that bit in future if you personally dont care.

My post wasnt even entirely negative by any means. He isnt a natural goalscorer though, his goal record is quite poor and his finishing is a weakness in his game. He isnt the goalscorer you keep calling for.

Does he bring other things? Yes, much needed pace, he runs lots, he chases things down, and at times he has chipped in with reasonable numbers of goals. And he is more useful than our current strikers.

Also, the constant thumbs down reactions are very childish. Im not sure what they bring to the messageboard as a whole.

You are so very quick to dismiss links to players has been not good enough or has been.

If we had based signings on fans opinions, we never signed Gestede or Szmodics for example

Who is natural finisher at championship level?

1 in 4 at West Brom plus he didn't always start up front there. 12 goals for championship team a season is good enough. Delap never did that in the Championship once. Now playing PL football

Ok. I think he is good signing if it happens

Ffs delap was a youngster and is improving all the time. Asante is 26. Not old but he's got no huge resale value.  U have me on ignore so I don't give a shit if u can't read this but ur condescending attitude towards other posters really irritates me.
