Will you be saying that if we say lose draw lose draw the next 4 games effectively ending our playoff push?

I know 100% that I would rather have the right ones in the last day of the window than the wrong ones by tomorrow morning.

Oh give it a rest.

"At our level" Sunderland and Sheffield United are looking for a striker - yeah, they've put matching £13m bids in for one!

"Our level" indeed!

Sunderland get 40k crowds, turnover 35 million and only lose 9 million per year. So they have 15 million more income and 8 million less in losses and you are suprised they can spend more than us?

Two years ago Sheffield United had 140 million turnover which fell to 64 million in the Championship. 44 million more income than us due to the parachute payments. And you are suprised they are in a stronger financial position than us?

Plus they are gambling on automatic promotion, which is clearly beyond our capabilities.

Reports from where?

https://fotbolldirekt.se/silly-season/avslojar-vill-inte-lamna-blackburn-for-malmo-eller-djurgarden/

It was a week ago that information about a heavy former Allsvenskan name came. Several clubs were stated, by Fotbollskanalen, to investigate possibilities with former Norrköping star Arnor Sigurdsson. According to FotbollDirekt's information, all have now been refused by the 25-year-old Icelander. This season has so far been difficult for Sigurdsson at Rovers and so far there have been no more than a few appearances due to injury. Now his contract expires this summer, but the Icelander does not have any plans to play in Allsvenskan. All the clubs that Fotbollskanalen has reported have thus received a no thank you in response. From FotbollDirekt's information, it also appears that several international clubs are showing interest in him, but that despite that he probably chooses to have ice in his stomach and stay where he is until the summer. Arnor Sigurdsson was sold from IFK Norrköping to Russian CSKA in 2018 for a whopping SEK 40 million. After the start of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine, he moved home to Norrköping and then, after a strong stay, moved on to Blackburn. In total in Norrköping, he scored 18 goals and nine assists in 50 games.

How is it deemed acceptable that we still havnt brought an attacker in? We're heading into the 3rd week of the window with 2 more games coming up and still looking at the same attacking line...Useless!

has the transfer window got going yet? not really, also factoring in that players we want, the selling club will want replacement line up first before agreeing to a sale. Plus should we over pay just to get them in a week early. Also we want quality player signings

Are quality signings only completed on deadline day?

Reports coming out that Siggy is staying until summer and does not want to go back to the Allsvenskan.

I wonder if the club were relying on him being sold for funds.

Going by Eustace comments a few days back he said he wa a looking forward to having him back so I’d have thought he would be aware that he was still in his plans. Also dispelling the rumours floating about regarding a fall out and him refusing to play u23

No they are all completed five minutes after the window opens.

There's only Rovers still looking. Every other club in the country concluded all their business on day one of the window.

Numerous teams have not read the rule book and have signed players for decent fees already.

Who genuinely has faith that we can and will bring in what we need?

Yes we have also ignored the rule book and recruited two players. But you think one is 4th choice and the other useless.

Yes I have faith. Because I have faith in Eustace. And he said there's some money to spend. Why would he say that if it wasn't true.

Like O’Brien and McGuire?

I’m not the Venkys. But arguing that you’d prefer to lesser players in early rather than the right players a bit later Is insane.

Whether they actually get them or not, that’s what they’re trying to do.

So again Iv asked if sheff United sign cannon tomorrow and we sign bamford on deadline day we got the better player - that’s certainly what you seem to be insinuating or your just badly wording whatever point your trying to make

That doesnt necessarily mean we will recruit what we need.

Will Sanderson not be 4th choice? And you need 4 centre backs, its hardly a criticism.

So by your logic if cannon is sold tomorrow and bamford next week bamford is superior?

FFS - I’m saying that if you don’t have shit loads of money, then you’re trying to sign the best possible players for the lowest possible price. Which is why lots of business gets done at the end of the window.

If Cannon was sold tomorrow, it would be to a club with considerable funds, so it’s not the same thing.

I don’t know know why you’re struggling so much to see this. I’m not defending Rovers. It may be that we are thoroughly fuckin useless this window. I’m just offering a reason as to why we haven’t signed the forwards we want.

They can fuck off if they are waiting for another player sale for funds.

They've made quite enough over the last 18months.

Well we all know the answer to that - venkys
