Southside Rover Posted January 19 Posted January 19 The only Juventus forward who played in Germany is Nicolas Gonzalez but he's on loan at Juve from Fiorentina. At 26 years of age and a market value of £34 million i think it's more likely a steward! Quote

CambridgeRover Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Huge miss, I do think Tronstad is our best player. As it stands, whether due to injury or loan recall, the squad will be in a worse position than before the window began. 4 Quote
B16Rover Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Christ this is the second time I've accidently got a rumour going. To Italian striker from Germany is reference to long standing Luca Toni rumours. 3 4 Quote

"He's only a squad player" "He'll get like 5mins off the bench" "He's an experienced head to guide the younger lads in training" "He's not coming as a starting player" Laughable planning by the clubs hierarchy. Worth noting, he was brought on in centre midfield, ahead of JRC yesterday. JE clearly doesn't rate JRC in CM. 3 Quote

Id say more than 50% of the fanbase (and Elliott Jackson) justified the signing of Forshaw in terms of budget allocation. Theres no point signing anyone with the mindset of "oh they wont be starting every week" knowing they arent good enough. Weve seen in the last few years that form has fallen off a cliff after christmas due to not having a good enough squad. Yet no one learns. Our midfield has been excellent all season, but as soon as one of them got injured we see the strength of the team become a big weakness. 2 Quote

We possibly had the best FBs and best CM pairing in the league - the only reason why we were competing in and around the Top 6. Both CMs are injured, the reliable loanee has gone back and we're left with... what for Coventry on Tuesday? Buckley, Forshaw, JRC and Garrett? Yikes. Quote

It was always going to happen - and it'll happen with Beck shortly. We've flogged a few players this season. 2 Quote
Hannoverover Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Maybe I've missed it but there is an Italian striker in Germany whose very highly thought of and will be sold before his contract ends in summer 2026: Nicolò Tresoldi from Hannover 96. Nothing about Juventus though unless they also want to sign him. Quote

JHRover Posted January 19 Posted January 19 We've got time, opportunity and money to do something about the Tronstad injury, before Tuesday if we really want. But we won't. Another example of CHOICES of the ownership and management torpedoing our fortunes on the pitch. The most infuriating part is that there remain supporters who think these injuries are down to bad luck or that the club is powerless in this situation. 4 Quote
Emerald Isle Rover Posted January 19 Posted January 19 With a hamstring injury it is likely to be months as opposed to weeks but people on here saying it’s 6 weeks apparently then it’s 8 weeks apparently. Where is this information coming from? Quote

The justification was fair enough, the context being they wanted to spend the majority of the budget on forwards. What’s the alternative if there’s no decent budget? It’s not the fans fault, or Jackson’s. Quote

Would have been better going with Garrett then we'd have had "even more" money for the forward positions. 6 Quote
