The same Garrett who couldn’t get in a struggling L1 team?

He was one of their best players, per their fans.

The HC was instructed to play (and develop) their own players over loanees.

With a hamstring injury it is likely to be months as opposed to weeks but people on here saying it’s 6 weeks apparently then it’s 8 weeks apparently. Where is this information coming from?

Pretty simple, original diagnosis is carried out on the pitch and then in the dressing room.

‘Does it hurt here?’
‘What’s the range of motion?’
‘Can you twist this way?’

They get a pretty good idea of the grade of tear it is before a scan, a scan is purely confirmational. They knew yesterday what he’d done and now he’s had his scan and it’s confirmed as an 8 week job, all being well.

By the same token Forshaw couldn't get in the side that was bottom of the table. At the time Forshaw  was signed Tronstad wasn't injured so at that pont it looked like we needed cover for 2-3 weeks until Travis was fit.

Not that much in it.

Not denying we ideally needed DECENT cover after Baker went back but Forshaw was never that.

Forshaw looked shocking yesterday. Reminded me of the corpse of Danny Murphy showing up in a Rovers shirt for one last payday. I don't rate Garrett but at least his legs haven't gone.

can imagine eustace to his assistant downing,in his brummie drawl "f****g hell keith, what have we been landed with here,im`e quicker than him and im`e 45"

Still hoping that the club can back the manager but it’s not looking great. If we leave our transfer business to deadline day then we know what will happen, don’t we?

i know we have been incredibly unlucky with injuries in recent weeks and can’t hope to replace them with new signings but the focus has to be on central midfield and up front. Or is that too much to ask?

The time for investment has come Venkys

Eustace will have seen multiple players 'lose their legs', and probably felt it while playing himself. I'll give Forshaw a chance, but it's not looking good. Age is just a number (look at Bannan) but his body has a lot of mileage on it, and I stated that before he played single minute that I thought the signing was a bad idea.

Yea I’m calling bs on this tbh

likely to be the outcome no doubt but I doubt anybody on this forum knows or has any inside contact with any of the players

Sonny’s just tweaked his hamstring and I’m not sure how long it’ll be. He’s been a huge influence for us this season, one of our top players and performers, and to lose him will be disappointing, but it’s an opportunity for someone else to step up.

“He’s been the captain of the team whilst Trav [Travis] has been away because of his performances and he’s going to be a miss. I don’t think Trav will be too far away now - I think he’ll be a week or so.

My concern right now is that circumstances are going to force Travis back early from injury, along with his own eagerness to get back out there. I remember him coming back from knee surgery a couple of years ago, clearly too soon and he was well off the pace for weeks.

It's one of many concerns about the club tbf, but certainly something that worries me over the next week or so.

Spurs did something similar 2 weeks ago with Van de Ven and Romero, both rushed back and started a game, both went off before half time with a recurrence.

Branagan said he didn’t want to leave Oxford for any team and then signed a new deal

I am certain Adam Wharton didn't want to leave Rovers but our owners wanted him gone !!

I doubt it, he didn't even make the bench yesterday.

We had Tronstadt yesterday. Be interesting to see if he’s on the bench Tuesday.

I can see us bringing in another CM after Sonny is likely to be out for a month or two. Eustace said we were "loose" in midfield yesterday which is a nice way of saying he thought the midfield was rubbish.

We simply can't be playing Forshaw/JRC/Buckley from the start until Sonny comes back. The rumours of us being interested in signing O'Brien seem very plausible and he would be a cracking signing. I think he would come here but can we afford his wages.
