Travis is almost back. Tronstad we don’t know yet.

Another Midfielder isn't priority for me. A quality striker is the priority for me. Number 1 priority

How do you want me to pull the powers up given I have no meetings or contacts with them? I'm not on the fan forum committee.

In our budget who would you be realistically expecting in as that ‘quality striker’ required

Sheff Utd have apparently agreed a £10m deal for Tom Cannon, according to Skysports news.

Don't mind them splashing the cash tbh if it means lt stops the Dingles getting automatic.

Not sure how much they have to spend looking at their signings so far. Obviously they need a striker like us, looks like they may have to sell to buy

I can't read most LT articles online due to the firewall but having just seen an article on FLW it appears Eustace said something like:

"Of course we WANT to bring quality in but if we don't, the lads have been great this season andwe won't let anyone down".

IF that's an accurate representation of what he said, it's not looking very promising.

Time to ramp up the pressure on Waggott inside the ground. He didn't like it last time it happened.

Have you tried browsing the LT with your browser's 'incognito mode'

It usually allows articles to be read.

Quickly becoming my 2nd and 3rd favourite teams are Leeds and the Blades.

Sounds far too technical for me Lol. Can you do that from a phone?

Yes. It may be called something slightly different, like privacy mode, secret mode etc.

Other tips to swerve their firewall - use different browsers (and different devices), and click the 'X' if your browser has one, before the page has finished loading (usually when you open a webpage the X appears where the refresh sign usually is, until it's all loaded and the refresh sign comes back). The latter trick can also help you read articles that are fully behind a paywall on various websites.

The LT page lets you read so many articles a month for free and without registering, but if you never register, use different browsers and incognito tabs, you can basically read all you like. Or as much as you'll want to anyway.

I’ve a method of bypassing the paywall/signup on Desktop for anyone who’s quite advanced on the web, it includes using DevTools and altering the throttling on the browser… not for everyone tbh but anyone who’s interested I can let you know how!

Pretty easy if you’re a web developer or similar!

Think Elliott Jackson is doing a fine job of that on his own.

in his defence,it`s clear rovers have the telegraph terrified  of losing their match day access if anyone writes anything even slightly critical of the club,he therefore copies and pastes articles,he never has any breaking news

I don't think that's fair really. He has to cope with, let's be honest, a basket case of a club - dealing with senior personnel who have minimal decision making ability and a desire not to communicate. If no-one pays for the LT then they will move towards sensationalism to drive advertising, probably removing any semblance of local journalism in order to cut costs and rely on independents who care only for clicks.

Elliot isn't perfect and his continual grammatical errors and spelling mistakes wind me up as much as anyone else but I genuinely believe he wants to produce a quality product without resorting to making up rumours.

Not gonna lie, I was convinced you were Elliott until I saw how long you’ve been a member!

Being a Wednesday fan, I highly doubt he’d have been a member since 2006…

Or you could subscribe instead of contributing to the death of journalism.

Elliott Jackson is already contributing to the death of journalism.

You ALSO ‘clearly didn’t know about the rules about squad registration and tied yourself in knots’ to be fair.

Stones, glass houses etc.

I talk about it last week https://www.brfcs.com/forums/topic/37294-january-transfer-window/?do=findComment&comment=2670496

plus as massive Football manager player I know the rules Mike

But on Dembele, he was not chosen despite Eustace's wishes. Therefore to have total faith in the club getting what we need purely on the basis of having a good head coach even though he clearly doesnt have total say (nor does he set the budget, in fact he seems totally in the dark based on his press conferences) seems a bit misplaced/deluded.

We had a different system in place in the summer compare to now. Something you are missing in your argument here.

The current system as Gestede told the fans forum which you have read, correct?

I have answered your point about having in faith we will get in the players we need.

Also no head coach or manager has total say on transfers, those days ended with Wenger and Fergie era.

We dont need the whole "stop writing players off" narrative. He obviously wont be left out and I will judge him as he plays, as I did on Saturday when he was crap. My point was that this 25 man squad isnt an excuse not to sign players. The most likely and obvious solution is to shed players who arent good enough. We are lumbered with Forshaw now. But the likes of Sigurdsson, Dolan, Hedges could maybe be shunted out. Failing that, a couple of non contributors could be simply not registered.

Eustace wants all them to stay so given you want Eustace to have total say, surely we should keep them here or are you only in favour of them when its suits your argument?

You clearly think that Travis returning from injury, Buckley and Forshaw is a trio of midfielders capable of sustaining a play off push.

we don't know how long the Tronstad will be out plus we have JRC that can play there.

How do you know that Eustace wants all of the players to stay? You have just made that up.

But even so, you clearly cant fathom that yes, Eustace should have final say. But that doesnt mean that people have to agree with and justify every decision he makes.

I reckon if he was told he could have a couple of extra signings but he would have to sacrifice some of the squad players, he would snap your hand off.

When was the last time Eustace gave JRC minutes in Central midfield?

Chaddy If both Buckley and JRC where rated as good championship midfield options he would been giving then more minutes and giving Travis and Tronstad a bit of a breather by taking them off.

It was Baker he picked when Travis was out

He isn't going to be happy having to play his 4th and 5th choice midfielders
