B16Rover Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Can anyone give me examples where waiting until the supply is lower and the demand is higher is beneficial when you have a small budget? Quote

He’s from Sheffield and not a Rovers fan, he’s hardly going to put his job on the line for an exclusive with Steve Waggott. I’m sure the biscuits are nice though… Lad seems more bothered about his podcast though than reporting on us on anything a millimetre below the surface or handed to him 7 Quote

Genuinely baffling he's never had a 1 to 1 meeting with Waggott. I called him out on it last year and still no change. 1 Quote
Torgeir Posted January 22 Posted January 22 He needs to annoy Eustace on the subject I'm afraid. He's the first line of defense. Gestede said he would communicate a lot more with the fans than Broughton did, but so far that's not been the case. The last time Rudy came out of hiding he made himself look like a fool, so perhaps it's better to shut up than spout bullshit. 2 Quote
Popular Post MarkBRFC Posted January 22 Popular Post Posted January 22 I'd be keeping Garrett around and sending Forshaw out on loan. Hopeless. 13 Quote
TheRevAshton Posted January 22 Posted January 22 (edited) Current situation; About 2 weeks ago, we needed a LW and a ST. Now, we need a LB, RB, CM, LW and a ST... is this just pure bad luck? Are Blackburn Rovers cursed from January onwards? No. This is due to fatigue and an extreme lack of quality squad depth. The first XI have been run ragged to get us to the position we're in, they've had to be relied on and have already played a hell of a lot of football this season. Eustace has, quite rightly, been reluctant to rotate the squad, as he can't do so without sacrificing a lot of quality. Eustace and the first XI need help - 11 decent players is never enough for a sustained playoff push. As a result of the owner's negligence, we're now in a position where we can hardly field a squad that could compete in League One. Edited January 22 by TheRevAshton 5 Quote
unleaded Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Hoping Leo Duru will be recalled he can’t be worse then JRC .. JRC is so slow & heavy legged ! He’s all over the shop … don’t know what’s happened to him …. 6 Quote
roversfan99 Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Todays transfer update from Eustace is not that we are close to signing anyone. Not that we will need one or two more than planned now our midfield and defence which have been the strength of our team is falling apart. Just that he is "hopeful" that we will strengthen at all. He seems frustrated. 1 Quote

Emerald Isle Rover Posted January 22 Posted January 22 He’s handling himself well to be fair although I’d like a tad more anger from him not full JDT or anywhere near but more directness towards those above cant always play the nice guy 1 Quote
roverblue Posted January 22 Posted January 22 A deluge of fan emails to the club might add a bit more pressure on them? Im sure someone on here had Waggots email address Quote

Part of me doesn't blame him - it's a very cushy gig if you don't rock the boat. Obviously he's going nowhere in journalism with that attitude though, which is why he's pushing his Podcast so hard. G Somerset Rover Posted January 22 Posted January 22 (edited) I thought Gestede was a bit of a tosser as a player. Nothings changed my mind on that front now that he’s working for that lot and given us nothing but b*llocks in the early days. Edited January 22 by G Somerset Rover 1 Quote

For clubs with owners with little ambition like ourselves I presume the advantage they see by waiting until the later stages of the window, is clubs and players are more likely to do us a favour,by accepting only a percentage of their out of favour players wages or paying off parts of their contract to get them away For example right now Forest would be playing hard ball with O'Brien and be demanding as close to his wages as they can get but as the window draws closer they will be more open to reducing the percentage of his wage they want covering I don't agree with it but just my assumption why a club with a small budget would go that route,we never get the required additions in anyway Quote

What's the frequency of said meetings? Cheers So, I do it as a representative of this site. Meetings every 3 months or so, give or take. Next one is Monday, February 10th. Minutes usually uploaded to club website, then re-posted on here a few days after. 2 Quote
