Seriously, this is dire isn't it? The clock ticking and even the rumour mill isn't churning out any names. Another shot at promotion spurned, another year goes by.

As a 60-year long-time supporter the feeling is no longer one of anger but one of sadness and resignation. We were thinking of going to the forthcoming QPR away game but probably won't now. It's all well, so depressing and pointless.

The game has changed so much from the 60’s Jim and not for the better.

They can never take those memories away Jim. I always console myself with that.

Heaven knows if he has his finger on the pulse or not, but Nixon seems to think Schlupp is off the Coventry as they are offering better terms. Given our injury crisis a utility player like Schlupp would make a huge difference for Saturday and you’d think the injuries sustained last night might encourage them to stump up the extra cash to get him in. We are (albeit not for long) in a better position to challenge than Cov. Nixon suggested he was someone Eustace wanted. It appears that Eustace is also being sent to Coventry by the board (metaphorically speaking). We just don’t function as a club.

Dire is an understatement Jim, I'm afraid.

Disinterested and now seemingly completely disengaged owners, who have absolutely no desire to invest any money into the squad. The clubs hierarchy are constantly lying to the fan base in order to protect the owners, with a "no impact" court case, clearly having a severe impact.

An unprecedented injury crisis completely destroying any hopes of a sustained play off push and not even a rumour of any reinforcements surfacing on social media which is usually full of bullshitting attention seekers.

The club has been in receipt of its biggest transfer influx in its history and it's been used to cover the costs that the owners either can't or won't cover, rather than being reinvested into the squad.

We're now set to put out a starting 11 that wouldn't win league 1, in a game we're likely to get annihilated in.

It's a bit worse than dire.

I've always maintained that we would spend minimally this window but I'm beginning to think it's going to be very close to zero outlay.

Don't talk to me about Forshaw or Dion, they're both savings with the outgoings loans and combination of Fadz and Baker leaving.

I would be entirely unsurprised if we don't make another "permanent" signing.

Cheaper yes better - don’t know

If it's to Whittaker then similar in terms of shooting from distance, but different in the sense I think Whittaker is faster and more of a modern winger where as Aasgard is central

We’ve no chance with Whittaker and your right they are two different types of players really

I just don’t know who is better - Whittaker is proven at champ level but aasgard does look a cut above league 1

neither will be coming regardless

An unprecedented injury crisis

Paradoxically that's the consequences of having a very good manager.

They bust a gut for him every week but its caught up with them.

As we all knew we have a good team but a poor squad.
