Waggott would probably have been better staying quiet than issuing that 'statement', talk about insulting people's intelligence. But then again that's how he views us, he thinks we're all thick as pig shit neanderthals from a northern shit hole.

How on earth do people attend these fan forums etc and sit in the same room as this man without completely losing it? I simply couldn't do it.

Same.

Have said it before. He's Arthur Daley without any of the charm.

Could be marginally worse I suppose. Could be still sat here with the team dodging the dog turds down at Pleasington wondering when the new £20m state of the art  training complex was going to be built.

There’s no sane justification for not prioritising the ‘right ones’ based on the fact that the signing will see them play / have the opportunity to play 20 odd games, minimum.

Do I think a couple of forwards might’ve put a few of those chances we missed vs Oxford and Cov away? Maybe nicked us a point vs Burnley? Yes. But weirdly, even with the new signings we’re expecting to make, we’d still be short of numbers going into the Bristol  City game.

The argument is and always has been timing and the block of fixtures we’re currently in

Eustace has reiterated 2/3 of his recent interviews he would have liked them in already - the board have failed him and the squad again

if any fan tries to justify it or find an alternative reason your simply reaching

As I said earlier in the week, 74 points for playoffs. Lose this weekend and we’re needing 10 wins and 2 draws from 17 games. Then a local derby against in form Preston, lose that and it’s 32 points needed from 16 games. 2 points a game is automatic promotion form. They have fucked us over, again.

Searching for the ‘right players’, whatever that even means is Nirvana. It wouldn’t be hard to bring in a midfielder that’s better than Adam fucking Forshaw. We need, and needed, bodies in the building.

Does anyone fume looking at shitty articles like this.

It's fucking dumb.

Elliott we aren't dumb. We sold him for £8m, reinvest the fucking money and we wouldn't have this fucking issue.

Elliot isn't the villain of this piece.  He's reporting well here.

There are four months between the August and January windows. Targets should have been identified and approaches made as soon as possible. Too many are falling for the official club rhetoric of it being a difficult window. Lots of other clubs don't view it that way and have got deals done. The only certainty in the window will be the disenchantment of many fans and possibly Eustace too.

And the latter could have disastrous consequences.

Eustace's latest comments (not his fault by the way) make me want to bang my head against a brick wall.

Yes, we lost the 33 goals of Szmodics, but the club chose not to spend money on a good player and replace them.

Forget about the playoffs, the league season is over. I’m more intrigued about the possibility of a cup run with struggling Wolves possibly resting their best players.

He gets a lot of heat on here but I like Elliot a lot. Does decent reporting and has a good podcast. We could do a lot worse.

The problem with Elliot and cryer before is that they aren’t rovers fans

sharpe Is and you could see the difference

but like anything else if your employed to write for the club I’m sure it’s very hard/dodgy to continue to put them down without getting p45 in the post

but I do think he’s ‘too’ soft but seems a nice lad and certainly wouldn’t be putting any blame on him

I'm certainty not my friend. My expectations based on previous years are as low as can be and stay that way. The vast majority knew of the urgency of new players weeks ago and with ten days to go we have next to nothing. Waggott was yesterday, in my view trying to temper expectations but anybody can see through him.

Indeed. Many called that we’d receive some guff from the club this week.
- One win in eight | Injuries galore | no incomings | fans becoming a little restless | Eustace pissed off.

Since then someone has fed the LET the Kargbo news, followed up by the king of bullshit himself coming out with hot air and meaningless waffle.

Personally i prefer that he isnt a supporter as he gives a bit of an outside view. Theres plenty of fan content out there, not least on here, for that.

Yep, seems to be ‘oh it’s January, is it? Comes around quick, best get some feelers out’.

The issue being Elliott is just a Rovers mouthpiece.

Where's the critical analysis.

If we had an FFP issue he'd 1 MILLION percent do an article on it.

Szmodics has gone 33 goals lost. What he forgets to mention is we made £8m and didn't reinvest it.

Where's the piece on that? Instead the headline is probably Rovers.

Same about FFP, where's the article about this being our biggest opportunity in years to invest a LOT.

But he'll never do an article like that, but he never ever critically analyses.

He has mentioned in numerous articles about the need for reinvestment

"The Kargbo news"

Ah yes, we're supposedly interested. So interested in fact that we're not prepared to offer what his Club want for him.

So that will no doubt  come to nothing as well. But I suppose it makes it look like we're doing something.

All a bloody con.

Maybe I’m being stupid here but surely it’s someone’s actual job, each and every day they’re at work, to be looking for possible targets for every possible scenario (eg in case we suddenly have a higher budget (I know I know!) or long term injury to a key player)
