I know that is the reason he's doing it obviously, but I have even less respect for his output if he actually  thinks exactly the opposite.

But that’s the position he’s in. He’s a young man with an income he’s caught. So I think he’s been smart about it has a podcast with a rovers fan can air freely his thoughts

no win for the lad

I think we have had better reporters don’t get me wrong but I think if he goes all out against them he will just be sacked

I agree, a good listen and interesting on several levels. Not least the high level of insight and passion expressed, but also the frankness of the views on a podcast, hosted by an LT journalist, that is referenced on the LT site. This is interesting because it is very distinct from the blandness and, at times, apparently naive coverage on the LT, itself. I have more respect for Jackson after hearing the pod. I'm just intrigued as to why the LT coverage is so comparatively shit when significantly different (and more accurate) views are being expressed vocally by their reporter. Strange.

This Kimpioka link...sounds like an exotic sounding signing where some out of the box thinking may have happened...but look at his playing history and you see he is former Sunderland. There might be something in it, let's see.

Remember a post I made the other day about possible targets being ex Boro, Sunderland, Birmingham, Coventry or Hibs?

If true, this is unlikely to be a gem find by our recruitment team. It would signal the same old, same old, to me.

Not listened to the whole thing yet, the first 15 mins, on the last two defeats was very good, but if he's saying what he REALLY thinks on here and taking the LT's shilling to write as though everything is normal and nothing is untoward in the newspaper, does that not make it even worse?

That's my problem too.

Not trying to do the ITK thing because I'm dreadful at it - but this is the player I’ve heard today: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/benjamin-kimpioka/profil/spieler/433652

When Sigurdsson played in Allsvenskan he was one of the best players in the league. Meanwhile this guy barely featured for a midtable side and they agreed to terminate his contract.

Eustace on a player-manager contract.

"I'm chuffed to bits, we finally got someone with plenty of Championship experience, just what the manager asked for" Waggott stated, before sinking his entire head into a VFC (Venky's Fried Chicken) bucket.

If anyone's doubting my sources, here's photo evidence:

Jackson on his podcast explained that he has no contact from Waggott or Gestede or other club management figures apart from John Eustace and the media team/press officer in his team covering Rovers and Rovers only released that statement to BBC Lancashire and not him. I think people are far too harsh on Elliott Jackson and tbh Andy Bayes, cos the club doesn't help them by actually communicating with them and doing some interviews where Jackson and Bayes. That's how the club should be doing it. Nothing wrong with using club communication channels but we should be using local media aswell

If that the best striker they can come up with after knowing what Eustace and Rovers needed for months then its simple not good enough. We need a striker who can make an impact straight away and why aren't/haven't we been over signing Ipswich striker Ali Al-Hamadi who Elliott Jackson on his podcast mentioned and asking why are Rovers going for hm. I would add why aren't Rovers looking at strikers like Riis or Brewster or if Brandon Thomas-Asante was our first choice then spend some of the money we have receive over the last 12 months on players. Similar with left winger signings. We are making/taking low risks and spending low fee on these players. This isn't a dig on those 2 players and I hope if we do sign them they are success here but Rovers should be spending money in this window of £5m plus and bring in championship quality players in this window not taking gambles

Wrexham has signed Ryan Longman from Hull permanent deal. Even Wrexham seems to attract good players...remember Longman scoring against us...would been an good addition here.

He scored against us but hes not a particularly good Championship player. Another plodder.
