Maybe Gestede is taking that too literally with Augustus Kargbo and Benjamin Kimpioka… It’s akin to me asking Maya Jama out for a drink. chaddyrovers
Time for Gestede to delivered 3 quality signings now before the deadline and ideally at least 1/2 before the PNE game. I think the criticism of Forshaw signing is OTT and people angry shouldn't be aimed at him at all. He is steady player and We aren't going to be able to sign similar quality and type of player that Tronstad and Travis are. 1 hour ago, Exiled_Rover said: Who actually owns him these days? More clubs than Nick Faldo that lad. Boro now 1 hour ago, Exiled_Rover said: He's scored 3 goals this season (no assists) and they bought him for nearly £3m in the summer. Not the brightest is he, Dunn. He is only 21 years old and years away from his peak. Dunn's point was Rovers lack of pace in the final third and what we need. 46 minutes ago, roversfan99 said: Can see why he didnt last long as a manager. Dunn's point was the pace Sinclair-Armstrong has and what we lack in attack which is a very similar point to yours about pace in the final third

Hes a donkey. No one said we could get someone on par with Travis and Tronstad. Like with Baker, there will be a downgrade. But he was a Championship standard, decent downgrade. Its the level of the downgrade to Forshaw that is the issue.
den
We’re currently 17 points off the top and 15 points off relegation.
Popular Post BRFC4EVA
F*ck you Venkys, Waggot and Pasha. I hate you with every inch of my soul. You have once again f**ked our season by refusing to spend money whilst we watch winnable games drift by. We needed difference maker players in during the first 2 weeks of Jan instead we've lost 3 on the bounce to relatively crap teams. Get out of our club you utter cretins.

Dunn's point was about lack of pace in the final third. which you agree with? 11 minutes ago, roversfan99 said: No one said we could get someone on par with Travis and Tronstad. sharpysharps86
Wonder what this weekends Nicko story will be... Probably emphasising the Kargbo link I suppose.
Bohinen1983
Eustace is performing miracles. Squad's paper-thin, ravaged with injuries and even before that is pretty shite. We have no pace, no creativity and no (frequent) goal scorer. The squad at present, is relegation fodder. We need to spend a good 10-15m to get some assets onto the books and make us competitive. It's not happening.. Wish Venkys would sod off.

We could easily sign 5 or 6 of the top young players in L1, L2 and Scotland if we were proactive.
Norbert Rassragr
If only we signed some Jamie Vardy type from Solihull Moors or wherever. We'll go down next season for sure.

I know we are talking about a squad player. My point is pretty clear. Wont be able to get quite as good as the main 2. But its not a case of, well we cant get someone is good so it doesnt matter how bad he is. Baker was reasonable cover, not as good as the main 2 but still a solid player. Forshaw is not good enough to provide reasonable cover. Had we signed Jason Lowe for the role, you could still use your argument. As if you are saying, it doesnt matter how bad he is, we arent going to get as good as Tronstad or Travis and hes a squad player so why does it matter. From memory Tronstad was a well scouted free agent from a middling Dutch league team. As much as Gregg got a lot of grief (in part for how corporate he was) he was head and shoulders above Gestede. Have we renewed a contract under the current DoF?

Gestede is proving himself to be a liability and just another chancer. We're back to running contracts down and letting players go for nothing it seems.
Mattyblue
Few on here were delighted when Gestede came in, by the looks of it solely due to scoring a few second tier goals here a decade ago.
