You don't need to spend £10m-15m, but you do need to scout carefully. We could easily sign 5 or 6 of the top young players in L1, L2 and Scotland if we were proactive. thats how rovers have always operated (bar the jack walker years) it`s how clubs like ours survive, with this lot we don`t even appear to have any kind of scouting system

paullarrygher
Not seen a proper link, but Thierry Small at Charlton wouldn't be a bad shout. He can play LB as well as midfield on the left and right. England U20s international, cheap as out of contract in summer, League 1 and SPL experience and wouldn't count towards the 25 man squad as under 21. But sure Rudy's got a mate playing lower leagues that he reckons can do a better job.

We spent a lot but not every player we got was a first rate superstar. If the club's just meant to fund itself now then there is literally no reason for the owners being here. I would 100% be a better CEO or COO than Shadow and that fat cunt and I'd cost a fraction of the money they're stealing from this place.

Cherry Blue
There may be a massive division between some fans & our owners, yet at Ewood some refuse to accept this. JE needed help at the right time but selfish venkys, advised by pasha, waggott & gestede, were unwilling to give support. Six wins on the trot and Rovers were heading towards the likes of (dare I say it!) multi-million pound clubs dingles, leeds & sheffield united. We had the right manager and player base to push further but those making decisions refuse to help. Waggott your a disgrace!

Needs confronting as soon as they pulls up at the stadium.

B16Rover
There's a logical leap a lot of the Ewood faithful struggle with, wherein they want and hope the club be self sustaining but are happy for absentee owners. Surely fan owned/local owned/owners more embedded (i.e. Ipswich pension fund) would be more dynamic in how they operate and yield better results - whilst allowing the club to wash it's own face
Rover1984
Whatever he does from now till the end of the window Rudy has failed. We should be done and dusted with vital positions and eyeing up a good loan whether it becomes available. Decision to allow players like Markanday out without getting suitable replacements in boils my piss. We should be putting our squad first
Emerald Isle Rover
The pressure needs to be put on regardless of signings this week fans need to let waggott and Rudy and venkys know enough is enough the team can be cheered at ewood during the match no problem at all but fans can still aim their discontent towards those above

Keyword: Quality I’m starting to think, is this part of the hold up? Aside from our tight-fisted, negligent, piece of shit owners refusing to sign deals off - is there also a case that the over-employed morons on the board are repeatedly offering Eustace nothing but cheap tosh, instead of the quality he’s requesting? He wants quality, but that costs money… which unfortunately our billionaire owners (with their additional £40m generated from the Club via player sales) refuse to spend. Listen John, you don't want championship experience. What does that mean anyway? What you want, and I'm talking to you as a friend here, is a Kargbo. Fresh from the continent, years ahead of the stuff you'd get over here. As a deal, I'll throw in the ceramic coating and some mats. How's that sound? 144 monthly repayments, my friend Rudy inside can deal with that fine print for you.
simongarnerisgod
desperate stuff this latest transfer sabotage, swag and the indians have done it to yet another manager lets face it fellow roverites,it`s over is`nt,there won`t be 4000 season tickets sold next season and im`e certain there will be a sell off of what quality players we still possess,it`s then tumbling down the leagues to where we`ve never been, the bottom division, you might disagree and thats your prerogative but it`s going to happen
johnradfordsubbuteo2
I don't know when it happened, but can I say how pleased I am that any and all swearing is allowed on this message board. I'm not sure many of us could cope without that licence. Well done the moderators - I'm very much against censorship.
roverblue
Is it any wonder a DoF with no experience or qualifications for the job has failed to deliver? I honestly don’t know what the club is thinking as it’s always the opposite of what should actually be done. They may as well have put Richie Smallwood in charge he has the same fucking credentials.
Popular Post johnradfordsubbuteo2
I regard myself as a diehard. a pessimistic one, but a diehard. Tonight I'm really questioning my mindless season ticket renewal. The whole thing is futile. Like many on here, if I stopped going, I'd still probably follow the club on here because the people on here are the beating heart of the club. But to what end? And after a few more years, I'll probably just look at the score in the Sunday paper. I hate it. When David Brown, Bill Fox and Billy Bancroft were in charge - yes it was thin gruel, but it was honest at least and they were local passionate men. And no doubt spared their own hard earned to get Kendall and Co. These current "owners" are like the invasion of the body snatchers. Inhabiting a hollowed out husk of what was once the Rovers. Sorry to be repetitive and elegiac, but that's how i feel today.
