Exactly, Middlesbrough don’t need whittaker and Giles, they signed them anyway, quality players to replace quality players, the better performers will start.

no @MarkBRFCI haven't accept any sort of mediocre but understand that Travis and Tronstad are our key players and any players are going to be behind them in the pecking order. I did think Eustace would rotate more with Baker playing more but he didn't.  

Yes @arbitro we all want quality player signings. We haven't reinvested the money we received for Wharton and Szmodics like we should have done. The summer was the time to reinvest that money into a couple more quality signings. in this window we need a left side attacking player, striker and left back

the Nixon news is Rovers still after Lewis O'Brien who Preston wanted aswell. Also Nixon in reply to my question is he our Main target has said its still live

Someone on X said the Nixon news is that Preston are after O’brien, with a mention that Rovers wanted him but backed away?

But why would you assume that any new signings would be behind Travis and Tronstad if they are better players? Both have been really good this season but to improve we have to bring in better players irrespective of where they play. If O'Brien does (miraculously) sign will be be back up to them? The only concession I would make us that there are other positions we need to improve on as a priority. But it is my belief that this simply won't matter as on February 3rd we will all be, once again disappointed.

Saw a few posts on Facebook yesterday from fans still stating the old "if we didn't have Venkys where else would we be" rubbish...

Our fan base is honestly one of the most infuriating group of people you could come across... How and why are morons still using that line?

If I was O'Brien and had to pick between two clubs, I'd probably go for the one that didn't fuck up half of a season for me.

26th and one week closer to the deadline: Rovers still want O’Brien and have done bugger all about it.
