roversfan99
I dont buy this idea that anyone actively doesnt want promotion. The issue is that the owners dont care either way, they wont reinvest anything, we arent of interest to them. Suhail is essentially an extension of the owners. Waggott surely would want promotion, financially he would benefit and it would reflect well on him. But hes more than happy just doing the bare minimum and certainly wouldnt push any buttons to get there. Gestede cant believe his luck in a job hes not got the credentials to be in.

KentExile
I thought that Elliott Jackson had just given up completely this week and gone on holiday. But he has a transfer story (kinda, but nothing new) https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/24891249.kargbo-transfer-latest-blackburns-january-window-plans/ Edited January 28 by KentExile

I don't think there are many clubs where a decent chunk of the fanbase accept the excuse "it's really hard". I'm sick to death of the club spinning the "January is a difficult month to make signings" line.
BankEnd Rover
I mentioned the other week about Cissoko at Plymouth and that he's been frozen out. Seems like he's on his way out...Definitely a player who would improve us on the flanks.

Blue&WhiteArmy
Blackburn Rovers hope to make a breakthrough in their pursuit of further additions to the squad this week, The Lancashire Telegraph understands. *There's the word hope again... that's literally all we can do these days with these owners and this board* Therefore, all of the fan scrutiny has been directed to the board, with Eustace and the players retaining supporters' full backing. The familiar feeling of a head coach struggling without support in the transfer window has threatened to bubble over. *Despite recent results, Eustace is one of the only things to be proud of currently, he will go on to bigger and better things, backed or not, he will see this board for what it is, come the summer when jobs become available, he will be off.. Will be a big loss* The Rovers board are understood to be acutely aware of the current fan feeling and sentiment. The club remain confident of adding to Eustace's squad with several players before Monday's 11pm Deadline *several players - I'll believe it when I see it.. no mention of quality either, so most likely several youngsters or has beens on loan/free* Rovers would like to have one or two fresh faces signed before Friday's Lancashire derby against Preston North End. It is clear that the whole club would benefit from a boost and injection of positivity and the club want to provide ahead of the Ewood Park clash. *would like - I'd like a million pounds, probably not happening anytime soon though* Talks with possible targets are ongoing, though there is a concentrated effort for their activity to remain quiet; keeping their cards close to their chest. *AKA - F**k all actually happening* It's understood that Rovers, like most of the Championship, were interested in the Aston Villa star. He was set to join Middlesbrough until a last-minute pivot and instead, he will spend the rest of this term in East Yorkshire. *Booo.... would of loved Louie Barry here, something different and will go far* https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/24891249.kargbo-transfer-latest-blackburns-january-window-plans/ I'd love to be pleasantly surprised in the next few days but I've absolutely no faith or confidence in this board or ownership!

Not sure Wrexham are coming but I know what you saying.. Next season will be nigh on impossible to finish in the top half , probably Southampton ,Ipswich , Wolves or Leicester coming down. Plus Birmingham coming up , add into that possibly Wrexham . The also rans in the present division too . Very weak division this season , if we don't try this time , we never will !

It's not like he's joined a Leeds or a Sheffield utd

A quick skim on the web suggests his wages are pretty low, if he can keep fit he'd be a quality addition - one of those players who can make something happen out of nothing, would be a monster off the bench for the last 30 minutes. Yes for Waggott it's all about window dressing while he gets on with downsizing the club as Venkys look to reduce their losses. Ultimately it all ends in the National League where the losses would be just a million or two and the training grounds have been sold for residential development to pay back part of the loans in India. It's the only logical explanation for what Venkys have been doing in the past 18 months.
