It’s all about reducing costs and bringing players through the academy. Last time I checked our turnover to wage ratio was 115%. They want the club to be self sufficient.

Over turnover won’t increase astronomically.  They need to reduce staffing wages. I guarantee within the next few years the last few “high earners” will be out the door.  Won’t bring any quality in because we pay pennies and won’t pay any transfers fees.

im my eyes we are solely reliant on the academy and bringing players through which is a massive concern.

They won’t take any risks with this business (spend decent money on transfers and wages because there’s no interested anymore.

Waggots remit is to increase commercial revenue and turnover. That’s all he cares about. Probably gets a bonus for hitting certain targets, he doesn’t give a shit BRFC.  Pashas there to just over see everything.

nothing changes until we get new ambitious owners who have a genuine interest in this great club. You have to risk a little in business to make money, Venkys will not do this.

We want the club to be self sustaining, we want to take as few risks as possible whilst continuing to bring in revenue.

Have you considered spending the next 2 decades abandoning any long term thought, dropping 2 divisions and falling out of the premier league just before the money goes insane? Perhaps you could go completely silent on the fanbase and gradually introduce fewer and fewer qualified bodies to run your multi millionaire pound business?

So wait, there *was* talk of a team wanting to pay us money for Pears, between £2m and FIVE million pounds, and there were people on here saying we shouldn't do that?

Wow. He's been fine, but... WOW.

This season is dead in the water. Start Toth, and use the £5m (plus any fictional budget) on the likes of Asgaard, Poku, maybe even Beck?

Of course £5,000,000 x 0 is what would get reinvested.

Obviously, we knew it was a bullshite link, but saying you wouldn't sell Pears for £2m+ is insanity. He's never going to be worth more than ¼ of that value ever again after this window.

Well I see your point but if we know he  wouldn't  be replaced and the transfer fee isn't going to be spent, from my point of view there's no reason to sell him.

It's the squabbling over a couple of hundred grand for Kargbo that gets me. If it's true that 800k was rejected, but 1m gets him, why the wait?

As Chaddy has said we scouted him in the summer, so if he's that high a target, why piss about?

Probably wants a £50 goal bonus anyway which would be too rich for us.

Just been looking at the Cov forums following what a previous poster advised, they seem adamant that we've gone back for BTA for a similar fee that they paid for him 🤔

Anyone be kind enough to provide this old sod a link?

Also interesting that a club that needs to be self-sufficient and maximising advertising revenue can only get sponsors that are within 10 minutes of the stadium.

I've said it before, but if the club is going to be completely self-sufficient then there is zero reason for having anyone owning the club other than the supporters. If they're not going to sell, and they're not going to fund - WHAT IS THE POINT?

Which is silly because if we had THAT money we'd bring in probably two for the cost.

Heard osula on a loan is a possibility

I seen someone mention the same on fb

I don't see how Newcastle let him out though unless they are bringing a player in which from what Howe was saying was unlikely

Aasgaard has joint Luton 👍🏻

ffs we should have been all over that one,no disrespect to luton but im`e sure he`d rather play for us and 3 million is a fair price when you will definately make a profit on him, was`nt that the route  we were supposedly going down???? it`s another illustration of a club on life support which is going to die in the next 3/4 seasons

There is literally no point whatsoever that's the most frustrating thing, are they good a chicken farming yeah.

"wanna buy a premier league winning team that reside in the prem ?"

"Yea sound mate do you mind if we have a go at it first?"

"be my guest here's a 15 year free trial"

Odd that negotiating takes this long every single window. No one lined up as they said they would. Are we sending offers via the pony 'express'?

Negotiating didn’t seem to take very long for the two cheap freebies we brought in and selling/loaning every man and his dog out…

It's easier if we can match bids like we did with Wahlstedt but 9 out of 10 times we lose out because we offer crap wages.
