All loans is doing now is kicking the can down the road, we need 3 really good, cash signings that can be given a platform to play, and if we don't make the play offs sell on again in a year or two and repeat the process.

I remember Desai's (only?) interview after buying the club when she said they'd focus on "leasing" players. Could we be seeing the actual playing out of their long game in minimising costs by running down contracts and building a team of low wage academy players and max numbers of loanees? Obviously would be even more of a car crash than we are used to being caught up in. But there doesn't appear to be any other 'plan' in place and the dereliction of duty in non-renewal of contracts can only be about further 'dumbing down' the squad and wage bill?

We are in peak season now of randomers on twitter seeking attention by chucking out random names, and then they are just being chucked on here without who they came from.

There is no chance we are getting Adebajo.

Adebayo makes sense, it's convenient for Waggott to go after a deal that depends on something else. Easy one to get out of when it doesn't go through, which it won't, even if it was serious, which it isn't.

The lad that's been on loan to Plymouth sound more promising than Kargbo imo if fit , but do we not really need some permanent signings in?

So, if we are to sign more than 2; we need someone to leave / go out on loan from the above list OR they need to be U21. Most of the players we have been linked to have been over 21 other than Jayden Danns, but can't see him being a permanent addition...

Edit: Them two and Adebayo on loan would be quite decent - albeit four weeks too late.

I predict we'll end up with one of the two wide men and no striker.

Yeah they need Doyle more than ever at the min. I think his agent was pushing for a move a few weeks back but it's unlikely now

Pandemonium in full effect here. It’s as if you lot haven’t lived through the same years I have. Regardless of transfers, dropping 9 points in the last 3 games will be the difference between a successful and failure of a season. All because whatever we do, we left it too late.

Calling it now - the club agrees a deal to bring in a 3rd player - a big money signing - but falls through at 23:01 as they conveniently 'forget' we don't have a squad place free. The happy clappers give Venkys/the board credit for trying their best.

Wouldn't put it past them, but that excuse wouldn't really wash, as they don't have to register the squad fully for the second half of the season until 24 hours after deadline day.
