I assume that you mean ESC slots?  We currently have 3 out of a maximum of 4 (Toth, Ohashi, Mafoumb).  We have to assume (*) that based on last season Sigurdsson now holds a standard work permit having been originally brought in on an ESC (He was eligible to convert from and ESC to a standard work permit over the summer)

They are for if a player would not get approved for a work permit.  Assuming the 2 are true (Mohamed seems fanciful to me), Mostafa Mohamed would qualify for a permit automatically so does not take up a slot.  Kargbo, would take the 4th and final ESC place

There was a dingle sat at breakfast in one of our hotels and I couldn’t even bring myself to give him some grief. Need these leeches out of the club for good - whether going up or down to L2 is the catalyst - don’t mind. Just want some ambition and respect from the owners of the club.

I’ll be in Thailand at the start of March sporting my Rovers tops loud and proud, regardless of the circus running the show!  If there’s anywhere with a Rovers link worth a visit, I’d like to try and visit!

Then it’s onto Aus where I’ll have to find some fellow fans/supporters clubs.

I was working out the logistics for if I have to fork out for a trip home for a play-off final day out but this last month of inactivity in the transfer market and poor results has almost certainly put that to bed.

I just hope the heat gets turned up on Venky’s, Pasha and co cause if we ain’t investing when in the play-offs with an injury-stricken, depleted squad and coming off the back of £40m player sales banked in the last year or so, it really doesn’t bode well for the future.

Its more that it would be a loan deal for a player playing abroad. It will be difficult for him to settle in straight away and have an impact in the 15 games post QPR that he would be available for, assuming it went to the wire. Its not good enough to only sign Kargbo beyond this season considering.

There are also the issues aside from football that it would bring up.

As you say, probably wont happen anyway. And if there is any truth in it, not sure why we are making enquiries so late in the window.

Can’t say I watch him regularly but I do know of him his profile probably accelerated by playing with salah at Egypt but has Europa league experience top flight experience and the way he plays like an old school 9

Because he’s worth well more than we can afford and I’d suggest if he is available to transfer/loan teams of higher calibre would be interested 

Europa league goals and experience 

champions league with gala 

Plays a lot for Egypt with the likes of salah / marmoush and does well too

Just seems out of our reach tbh

Fair enough but he is playing for Nantes, and isn’t getting on the pitch. Reported that Monza might be interested, again hardly a sleeping giant !

Monza are rock bottom of Serie A, 7 points from safety with 2 wins all season. I would argue Rovers are the more appealing option

All of the above is correct but I still stand by that there will be better offers than rovers and not just financially

Won't be 100% sure of Kargbo signing until he's wearing the shirt in a match day squad (even wearing it as part of a player announcement isn't enough at Rovers these days). The positive is that it's hopefully a player through the door in a position we need filling. The question will remain as to whether he's an improvement on what we have or not...time will tell.

Highly doubt the Egyptian striker will join, seems far too good to be true. As Nixon says in his story that it is an enquiry, so hardly worth getting excited about unless it progresses further.

Sadly this is all too little too late. Rovers would need to go on an incredible run between now and the end of the season to reach the average points total for making the playoffs.

Kargbo looks like the ideal type of player for Cantwell to link up with. He's been crying out for pace and strength to find with his through balls. 

Can't see us signing Mohammed this late in the window. We need at least 3 weeks to bring someone in from abroad.

Agreed, if they have any sort of ambition for playoffs a few quid on a quick fix would be welcomed. Would prefer a perm on someone else but that’s unlikely

I have a feeling when he gets here and he's up against better players than he has been playing against in Serie B/C, we'll find out that he's not that quick after all.

Fully expecting him to be a bit part player for the rest of this season, and a bit of a dud in all honesty.

You're drawing a conclusion. I think that's the thought from the club's point of view.

I think Beck is a versatile player that can operate well higher up on the pitch but he's not a winger, no. And he needs a solid 'partner' to have any success.

I’ve seen players with shirts being held up, I’ve seen players with shirts being held up AND OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED, I’ve seen players on their way and a volcanic ash cloud stopping their journey. 

Anyone claiming Kargbo is a done deal needs a bit of calming down I think 🤣 he’s not even sat on the medical table yet.
