Can't help but feel these links to a couple of decent strikers are nothing but PR stunts. They can then trot out the usual "we tried for some very good strikers" line after the window. We then sign a free transfer striker from the Finnish third division in the summer.

It's why I'm only interested in permanent transfers.

No point throwing money away chasing a very, very unlikely Playoff place. Bring in assets.

The fact we bid way below his value (as per the other offers) leads me to believe they did this to just look like they’re doing something.

Pasha/Waggott would have absolutely papped their pants if it got accepted and would have no doubt found a means of scuppering the deal, whilst making it look like they did all they could to placate the few fans who don’t see through their BS.

You hear it every year, but someone usually does come through the pack. Our starting 11 is as good as those teams’. Our squad is not, as we’ve seen in the last 6 games. And they’ve all got stronger.

How many years of this have you encountered before? By now, you should be well aware of how this normally plays out. Either we tried, a fax machine doesn't work, or somebody didn't check papers correctly. Anything else I missed?

I’m not saying it will be us I don’t think it will be us

but there’s 2 spots available and I believe all the teams at present are too inconsistent 

I think 6th will be around then 67-70mark 

of course when the window closes teams have signings etc nothing to say one of those teams form shoots through the roof but nothing at present to suggest that

Surely any player with a thread of dignity or if their agent had any sense they would be avoiding us at all costs. Seeing from the outside how the club is ran and the previous blunders over the last few years. The only players we ever manage to get are the ones nobody else shows any real interest in. Sad

All the teams there are in the same boat as us “2 points per game” hopefully a couple of signings will boost the team and we kick on again, pissed we have sorted transfers 2-3 weeks ago but we are up there on merit hopefully starting tomorrow we can get a decent run going.
