Same old boring comments just a different day.

You are getting angry over what might not happens.

If we cant our first choice targets then surely you moved on to other targets. That's how football recruitment works.

Sanderson one is logical to me

On Kargbo, why can't you judge him in Rovers shirt not before he signed here given you never seen him play live. Take it you had similar opinions on Samba and Nelsen when Hughes signed there from B Team at Hertha Berlin and DC united.

Clearly Eustace hasn't personally scouted just like Ohashi signing

You're getting very shirty with people in your responses Chaddy.

It's not their fault it-s been such an abysmal window that similarly looks set to end in underwhelming fashion.

Nor that your faith in the owners and management to bring in the quality we needed was so badly misplaced. Earlier in the window you were defending the bringing in of "Championship experience" because you claimed it was what the manager wanted.

Now it seems we can't even manage that.

Today's special - many, many people trying to convince someone with chronic confirmation bias that there is a different narrative

It’s been a crap window, there’s no two ways about that. Lewis Travis backing the boys and leading the charge in his interview doesn’t change that. He’d be a pretty poor captain if he didn’t do it.

Kargbo is an underwhelming signing because he’s an unknown and Rovers were a side screaming out for players who can hit the ground running and solidify our top 6 credentials. Our injury crisis only made us more desperate. kargbo could be fantastic and we could sneak one or two more signings through the door in the next three days but this window has still been expectedly underwhelming.

I don’t think playoffs are beyond us. This squad has proved they can win and compete with the best in this league and I have far more belief in them and this manager than I have in our last few capitulations. A win tonight can spark some much needed momentum but the teams around us have strengthened and the trailing pack behind us have caught up. We could easily finish 5th or 16th. That’s what’s disappointing. Once again we didn’t take advantage of our great Christmas league position. There’s change Eustace isn’t peeved of by that ala JDT.

Kargbo seemed like a backup solution in the summer and a backup solution now. I think we're lowballing offers for targets.

Everything seems to revolve around the wages to turnover ratio, meaning we renew contracts (pay rises) as late as possible, and sign players that command low fees and therefor usually low wages. The odd exceptions are there, like Cantwell, but I'm sure they will try and get rid of him again if they can make a profit. As soon as we enter 'established Championship players' area, we can't compete with our rivals.

The only established players we get are the over-established ones that are on a downward spiral. Doesn't mean they can't make a contribution to the group but at this point we need to strengthen our starting eleven with a few new faces.

Cantwell came here to rebuild his career----somewhere else.

Travis interview with the LET setting the groundwork for underwhelming window / possibly no additions

I was speaking to the gaffer, even if nobody comes in, we've got enough. I believe we've got enough in the dressing room to finish in that top six, so it doesn't really matter to us, to be honest.”

Lol.

Yeah I'm sure that was EXACTLY how the conversation between them went and not:

"What an absolute fucking shit show gaffer. I'm off at the earliest opportunity."

"Can't say I blame you Trav. Me too, me too."

Jackson so confident of Rovers doing next to no transfer business that he has gone off on a jolly until the QPR game next week

Correct me if i'm wrong, but hasn't Jackson done something like this towards the end of every transfer window over the last couple of years? 😅

If we sign Kargbo, it will be telling how long before he is getting serious minutes.

We are desperate for quality. Eustace has said that all along.

If he's on the bench and featuring for 20 minutes here and there, it's clear all we will have done is bought another limited squad player. He's obviously not the quality we have been crying out for.

If he is in the starting XI in one of the first couple of games available, and stay there, then Eustace clearly thinks he will be an improvement.

From what I've seen, read and his stats I'm heavily leaning towards being the former. Had we got the Egyptian lad who was unrealistically linked yesterday it would have been the latter.
