We have, but the majority of our good signings have all come from our DoF.

Yeah thank the lord for signings like Wahlsted, Hirst, Ennis, Telalovic, O'Riordan, Fleck, O Riordan and the deadline day debacles for O Brien, the lad from Rochdale and Mcguire.

Where would we have been without them?

Has he ever been fit? Every time I hear about him he's injured

Its the reason he is no longer at either Barcelona or Liverpool.

Given how Finneran, Phillips etc acted, it is a shame that someone who seemingly showed Rovers a bit of loyalty despite Premier League interest has had his career interrupted by injuries

As Zak’s scholarship deal with Blackburn was nearing its end, several premiership clubs registered their interest in signing him.In a surprising move, Zak showed loyalty to Blackburn and signed the first professional deal of his career. However, his time with Rovers’ under-23 team this season has been frustrating due to injuries and fitness, culminating in an unfortunate ACL injury in October

Over the last 5 years, our signings from managers have almost exclusively been mediocre players from their former clubs. I can't remember the last time it felt like a manager was part of spotting a good talent? Hughes?

And I never claimed that we were like Brentford, but you only make improvements by aiming for something and putting structure in place. We desperately need structure.

You're also completely delusional if you think that Eustace has shown an eye for spotting talent in the transfer market. It works both ways.

I would take your post seriously if most of your previous posts weren’t complete negativity towards Eustace - you have an agenda which you won’t let go

Correct me if i'm wrong, but hasn't Jackson done something like this towards the end of every transfer window over the last couple of years? 😅

Does it all the time. Goes to show how bad the LT is. On the other hand, is he really that helpful or in the know

And probably the reason he's not been pinched like Phillips and Finneran.

I just added to my previous reply as you typed this, apparently he turned down Premier League interest to sign a  pro deal with Rovers

Then got injured

He's had terrible luck. Hopefully he can come back and help us in the last couple of months.

What a sorry list that is

Wahlsted was a disaster - how many points did he cost us? Telalovic was way out his depth. It makes you wonder what they see in training that makes them think they could make the grade in the Championship

Ennis is odd - showed some promise at Plymouth and Argyle fans liked him and didn't want him to leave. But again he looked so poor in a Rovers shirt

Hirst showed flashes and has scored a few goals for Ipswich. He might have been worth persevering with,  probably better than Dale or Leonard

All in all, a tale of failure and woe by the Rovers recruiting department

It’s ok though Eddie says the signings have been fantastic and Eustace is probably to blame for all those………..

Yeah but do you not counter that with the good signings?

Szmodic,Hyam,Brittain,Tronstad

With a small budget even the best recruitment team in the world wouldn't be getting every one right

To be fair despite being one of the lowest spending teams in the league we have finished 8th , 7th, poor season ,and are currently 7th in the league now with over half the season gone

So overall recruitment have done OK it comes back to budget or an unwillingness to spend significant money to push us on that's the issue

That entire list actually cost very little in the end tbf. Wahlstedt, Telalovic and Ennis were sold on for similar fees  and a profit respectively, probably more or less covering the O'Riordan fee. Hirst and Fleck were short term deals with no transfer fee.

Essentially they all together cost just wages and signing fees. They were certainly a waste of those, but if just one had worked out it'd have been worth the relatively low expenditure. Telalovic is showing we might have been hasty with him.

Nixon reckons O Brien will go to the wire. And that we are the highest positioned team in for him. If he chooses anyone else goes to show what he thinks of us…….could you blame him though

Money will talk, not League position

Looks like we are after Youan as well if Scottish newspapers are anything to go by. Eustace must want 2 wingers.

Or God help us, thinking of playing Kargbo as a striker ?

Would you not say that is good management as opposed to like great players. As the second half season fall off happens every year because we can’t help or progress the team

the above have been good signings but if we tally the amount of incomings all together the majority have been poor
