However, surprised that an attacking midfielder (Vare) was on the bench rather than a forward (Mafoumbi etc)  Also, after Litherland, Edmondson & O'Grady-Macken being on the bench recently, none were part of todays squad, maybe they are off out on loan this weekend?

no where near yet  (neither is Vare in my opinion, which shows how stretched the squad is), Mafoumbi  is quite quick though

Really hope he is a genuine pace merchant. Someone with pace getting on the end of Geyes flick ons and on the breaks we are pretty good at putting together could make a massive difference.

Cantwell, Leonard, Dolan, Hedges and Wiemann just dont have the speed to make the most of our style.

Sorry... a 2.5 year contract. If the fee is £1m he's our 2nd most expensive signing since the summer of 2023. What the eff is that contract all about?

Although both Dolan and Hedges worked hard tonight...My god they are slow, we ideally need 2 wingers with Pace.

Offer a 3 or 4 year contract on £X/week, and then once he is over here, done medical etc, offer a lower amount, and end up doing a deal on a lower wage but shorter contract.

Waggott then brags to his bosses about all the money he has saved, completely disregarding that if Kargbo hits the ground running and has a good year, by the time Rovers get around to tying him down to a longer contract, he will only have a year left, and will sit it out and walk on a free to a club with deeper pockets

Very strange to give Kargbo such a short contract. Not even mention of an option so after settling in, if he rips it up next season we probably have to sell him.

A few players needed to come in ASAP as this group is battling on giving everything but running on empty. Need some energy and pace.
