However, surprised that an attacking midfielder (Vare) was on the bench rather than a forward (Mafoumbi etc)  Also, after Litherland, Edmondson & O'Grady-Macken being on the bench recently, none were part of todays squad, maybe they are off out on loan this weekend?

 Chaddy is a big fan and had been touting his name all thru this window as someone we should sign.

Yet again JE has given Maggot/Sahair/venkys a get out of jail card. Although we have flushed 3 winnable games away, winning tonight has kept us in touch.

So this is their chance to sign 2 to 3 good players who'll make a difference and it will not be too late, after winning tonight.

I agree though, Riis was useless. 

He was garbage, nobenders seemed baffled he was starting over the biting prick who was supposedly 'ill', I think he was left out for a reason knowing he's unstable and the likes of Trav would have been out to wind him up though after his antics last time.

Sky actually commented on how the owners needed to back Eustace and panned to Waggott and Suhail (surprised they even knew who they were), most unlike them to have a clue what's going on at Ewood....

Forshaw is a bad signing.  He can't play a full 90 and seems well off the pace .The only benefit he should bring is a calm, experienced head,  which helps the team see out the last 10 minutes of a game.  That was nonexistent last night.

If we’re gonna make 2/3 more signings, you’d hope a couple of them would be wrapped up today or tomorrow, with us having a game on Tuesday.

No doubt both will be done on deadline day though (if done at all, that is!).

Having watched a few YouTube videos of Kargbo I’m impressed with the type of player he is. Reminds me of a Sadio Mane type…direct and quick. One, or two touches, and get on your bike, get round the back of the defence and take the shot or cross. No pirouettes, or bullshit extra touches, *cough DOLAN.

Looks like Elie Youan is waiting for us to come finish that deal off. Anyone else thinking it might end up, Kargbo, Youan, St and CM?

Really starting to like gueye 😂 if we can add pace to either wing to help him out I think he will to so much better, dominates ariel challenges, starting to hold the ball up really well. If he can get him self in better positions with pacey wingers I think he’ll bag goals.

Another short sighted side, using an incoming transfer fee all at once to strengthen instead of using it to keep the meter running.  Do they not realise that they will only receive the money for Esse in installments FFS!

I hope he can endure the physicality of this division, as Ohashi has done. And he will obviously have to track back and be diciplined in the press, but I'm sure they'll get him up to pace quickly enough. Dolan is a weird player, he can definitely make things happen but also rushes out in the press and gets beaten easily, and so many poor decisions so must be frustrating to play with.

Forshaw isnt good enough. Annoying that a club with supposed play off aspirations is signing someone like that.

Certainly havent written Kargbo off, he is a winger who hasnt done much above Serie C level. Its again not a signing most sides with play off aspirations but lets hope he is a hidden gem. Length of contract is a concern.

Have to remember the standard of defender hes playing against in those videos.

I cant see us signing another winger but we could do with one for the right hand side. I think a striker on loan, maybe a left back on loan if we are lucky and thats it.

Let’s see how it plays out for Kargbo he has had two serie A seasons under his belt and is only 25. Played plenty of games for his age and performed well in the lower division. Mostafa and O Brien in I will very happy. Being French I watch ligue 1 a lot. He needs to be managed Mostafa he can be really really difficult and controversial

But as Steve said ‘spending money doesn’t guarantee success’ when questioned on the transfer parsimony.
