Within 3 minutes, two of our main reputed targets heading to Championship rivals. Must be a record outside of deadline day. Where they still targets though? The way I was looking at it , it was one of the hibs fella, Cissokho or Kargbo. Obviously he doesn't know everything. But that was what Nixon was also saying. The bid for the hibs player was made before we had agreed a fee for Kargbo I don't see us being for 2 wingers, when midfield left back and striker have been mentioned by Eustace, I could only see us still being in for the lad from Hibs if Kargbo or him are being viewed as a striker Edited February 1 by islander200 1 Quote

Contract expires after next season. Transfermarkt has it that Hibs paid about 580k Euros for him. I read an Edinburgh based article the other day that suggested a similar figure. Quote
BankEnd Rover Posted February 1 Posted February 1 We cannot and will not compete with anyone in this league. We need 2 wingers ideally but not a chance this board will give anymore money now...I thought we were close on 2 players? Where is the other? Pathetic. 2 Quote

Maybe this isn't the case, we really can't know unless the club come out and say, but it's theoretically possible (whether posters on here think it makes sense for other reasons or not, as I know I'm about to get some 'yeh but...') roverandout Posted February 1 Posted February 1 If it wasn't for the great job that Eustace has done here, I'd be completely done with rovers. Thanks to venkys and their maggots Eustace won't be here next season 4 Quote

roverandout Posted February 1 Posted February 1 The kargbo contract is bizarre. Say he does reasonably well this season but has an amazing breakout season next season and is sought after then he'll only have a year left on his contract. He'll be after a big move. Rovers will either sell him for a knockdown fee or he'll run his contract down. 2 Quote

Doesn't matter if his contract is 2 years or 3 years, end result will be that he walks for nothing. We have shown over the past 13 months that we aren't capable of renewing first team contracts anymore. 1 Quote
neophox Posted February 1 Posted February 1 come on bring Bali Mumba here ....he was an unused sub on the bench today... He will give us more options on the wing. Quote
neophox Posted February 1 Posted February 1 If Kargbo can be like Gueye I'd be delighted!!! Venkys out!! Quote
roverandout Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Bta ripping it up for Coventry. Does chaddy still think he's coming here Quote
roversfan99 Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Pissing around with low offers for Thomas Asante seems to have ended up with him becoming a goalscoring machine firing another rival into the play off race and leaving us likely to loan a striker at best instead. 2 Quote
ABRAM ROVER Posted February 1 Posted February 1 No Danns on the Liverpool bench. He would be a great loan but everyone in the league probably wants him. 1 Quote

Yep, that defeat to Coventry was a real bitter blow, they are now ripping it up and a good a chance of any of making the play offs. Quote

sharpysharps86 Posted February 1 Posted February 1 No chance BTA comes to Rovers after this current run of form...unless Coventry now have to sell to cover the Grimes signing. 2 Quote

roversfan99 Posted February 1 Posted February 1 I would be very underwhelmed if borrowing a striker with minimal experience was the route we go down. Quote
BigHoz Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Brereton bagging for Sheffield united, 4 signings made last the 2 weeks for them, a team sitting in 2nd, all 4 start. Point being teams with ambitions always looking to improve the starting 11, yet some people in here are happy to improve the bench. Stand still get left behind. 6 Quote
