On another note be better for Leonard to head to League One if he is to go out on loan I don't think he would get sufficient minutes at either Plymouth or Portsmouth if those teams did make offers

Agree, they're clearly just looking for cheap backup. Might as well keep him as backup here, I don't believe he takes up a squad space due to his age.

I posted before, I watch Ligue 1 and Mostafa is a fantastic player but before being excited about him. He has caused a huge stir in France not just around LGBT stuff but many more. If he comes he may disrupt the harmony and that is something we need to consider. 3.6m is a lot for money for a player who has had many controversial moments. His record is good his character highly questionable

Nobody gets on Trafford's back for being a massive knobhead, so I can overlook this if he scores goals.

there have been plenty of dubious characters in the game, taarabt at qpr was an absolute **** of a human being, great player though and was the key man in them getting promoted

What did Taarabt do that was similar?

I dont think its something that can just be dismissed out of hand as one of those things. It brings up a number of potential issues as he not only holds these beliefs but he willingly makes himself unavailable for matches to push that across.

I really hope not. He’s taken that stance for religious reasons, are we going to start taking that into consideration when signing a player? Where do we draw the line on personal beliefs? Far more reasonable to accept if you want to sign him, he isn’t going to play in LGBT/Pride promoting fixtures. Ideally, you’d hope you’d be able to make him see things from a different point of view via education on the matter, but he’s here to score goals not personally develop.

We've a first team squad of circa 25 men. A youth squad. A women's squad. And then all the staff who support them and others around the club. You think none of them are gay or bi? Statistically there will be, and they'll have friends around the club. Is it worth signing someone who offends that group, and the impact that could have on performance and results?

Is it just me not seeing how Mohamed fits into our side? Could see him being very effective elsewhere in the Championship, but a lot of goals from corners, his own direct free kicks and flat crosses from deep.

Brittain especially has started getting those crosses in more regularly, but the general quality of our crosses has been quite poor for a while. Corners have improved a bit in the past few weeks, but that’s probably from the batshit routines we’ve come up with (which I like, but are still batshit). We really don’t win free kicks around the edge of the box, either.

The more impressive (to me) goals on the break - maybe, but I struggle to see him afforded as much space against a lot of sides.

He has a hell of a shot on him, looks very strong and a good touch, but looks like a player that works a lot better for a different side.

Lots of chat in the general football discourse about January signings needing to hit the ground running. Wouldn’t mind us looking again in the summer, but with the amount of adjustment he’d have to make and it having just turned pride month, could see this going sour quickly.

That's what I'm saying if we ain't prepared to pay the fee or wages then don't waste time on it in the hope you will get a last minute deal

My take on it is that they aren't interested in trying to get last minute deals, but are interested in making it look to the fans, that they are trying.

What if he scores 15 goals between now and the end of the season, including the winner against Burnley at Wembley and the Venkys sell us in the summer as a result?

What if he's a total flop, costs us millions and does none of that?

Who’s got access to Nixon’s patreon?

Aswell as the thing about the Egyptian lad, seems there’s one titled “Blackburn desperate for Danns” and another called “O’Brien shock as Derby Swansea come in”.

Both seem pretty self-explanatory but interested to see what’s within those, especially the O’Brien one…

Blackburn desperate for Danns

By Alan Nixon

Blackburn boss John Eustace is hoping to talk Liverpool starlet Jaydon Danns into a loan move - with the help of the future and the past.

Eustace will use the Rovers promotion push to inspire young attacker Danns to join for the rest of the season.

The club also have a special relationship with Liverpool after taking Harvey Elliott in the past and currently giving Owen Beck his chance.

And Blackburn also have history with the Danns family after dad Neil made the same trip when he was a player.

Eustace said: “It’s an exciting time. We have done really well so far, but we just need a bit of quality.”

Liverpool boss Arne Slot has been impressed with Danns since his return from injury and would be happy to keep him.

But Blackburn plan to give their all to see off rivals Sfoke in the chase for the Kop kid.

O’Brien shock as Derby Swansea come in
New

Nottingham Forest want the best wage offer for midfield misfit Lewis O’Brien and that could cause deadline chaos.

O’Brien is keen on a loan move to Preston or Blackburn but they are unable to come up with even half of his Forest salary.

Derby, Luton and Swansea are trying harder and willing to offer more but O’Brien would rather join a club with a play off chance.

The Rams are pushing most at the moment and could deal with their local rivals as they seek experience in their relegation fight.

Blackburn have to pay for Egyptian
New

Blackburn Rovers have been told to make a bigger bid for Mustafa Mohamed by French side Nantes.

Rovers have asked for Mohamed on loan on full wages but Nantes are keen on a full time transfer and are asking for £3.6 million immediately or guaranteed in summer.

Mo Salah’s Egypt international sidekick Mohamed is available for a move to England and other sides are taking a late interest.

There we go then, pinning our play off/promotion hopes on an 18 year old.

I can see Danns happening.

Egyptian striker and O'Brien? Not a chance.

I’d be okay with Danns coming in with the way Gueye is playing at the moment and OHASHI coming back.

However, only happy with that if we bring in another winger and CM who are experienced and of proven quality.

Agreed, Danns loan would be ideal for me I’d like to see gueye keep developing he can bags goals in this league, providing we sign a decent winger.
