And yet we are now higher in the league table than back then.

Spend big on a striker who scores when he wants, bring in another who can score for fun. Then don't employ a manager capable of a promotion push.

This season, find a manager capable of a promotion push but don't give him any strikers capable of a promotion push.

That's Venkys.

Still think louie barry is the one we should go for. There's probably going to be another ten clubs in for him though

Guy behind me mentioned him and I said he's the new Cannon - there'll be an orderly queue for his services. We won't be anywhere near the front of it.

Last year Ipswich, who were near the top of the league and far exceeding their expectations, had Travis wrapped up by Jan 5th. Let’s see if we can move that quickly.

I'm sure we can get a key player out the door that fast again.

Incoming however.....

Or like the last manager, sabotage the season as much as you can when he's got the club in the promotion spots.

So how much farther up the table would we be if we had 2 goal-scoring strikers?

Are you seriously saying the manager has been adequately backed in the transfer market?

Reading fans saying that Bindon is on his way to us.

He scored today.

I can't imagine they're right. A 19 yr old League One CB doesn't seem like the best use of a limited budget.

What a goal it was too. He must have something about him, he's captained the team at 19 years old. I mean I'd prefer a prolific young striker but not opposed to it.

I suspect, they will be no incomings, Waggott will tell the owners, "our aim is to stop up and we are on target for that" ...

"We don't need any more players and could possibly cut the wage bill"

On the face of it this is a perfect target. Exactly what we should be looking for. Get 2 strikers and a winger and I'll be a happy man!

Who's playing LB for you then when Beck picks up an injury? Are you also happy with Buckley being first man off the bench in midfield for the next 6+ games?

We need strengthening everywhere.

Not really heard if him...if true, let's hope he's as good as our last Kiwi centre back

He'd literally be gone in the summer if he was - that's how the football pyramid works now, sadly.
