Will probably try to do the medical in the bogs at Watford Gap services tomorrow evening, and the paperwork on the secretary’s mobile. 5 Quote

They don't even bother doing the medicals at Brockhall on deadline day - it's Manchester or London. Doubt it'll be a hive of activity tomorrow. Quote
Penwortham Blue Posted February 2 Posted February 2 (edited) Given the fiascos on the last 2 January windows, it beggars belief that they will still be looking to do business on the last available day. Crazy fuckers or suits with a clear ‘we tried our best’ plan ! Edited February 2 by Penwortham Blue 5 Quote

They can afford but they choose not to, charlatans ! 2 Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted February 2 Posted February 2 i think there will be incomings, uninspiring loans from clubs who want to clear their deadwood or players at the end of their careers i.e forshaw 1 Quote

I live very close and would have happily spent the day at the Avenue Cafe to provide a bit of live reporting but regrettably, I’m overseas at present 🙈 We’ll buy you lunch and coffee all day if you sit by the entrance and report back. 3 Quote

For me it's someone who signs permanently, who would improve the starting XI who we can sell on for a major profit in a few years if we never realise promotion. Being better than Dolan, Pears and Hedges, for example, isn't difficult. Edited February 2 by Exiled_Rover Quote
Galgaterover10 Posted February 2 Posted February 2 So coming to the end of the penultimate day of the window. Any deals that happen tomorrow are reported rumours today as any deadline day rumours never materialise with the timescale to get it done. So on that basis it’s 1-3 out of: egyptian lad danns o’brian we seem unlikely to land 2 out of 3 due to costs so our most likely end of window outcome is nothing or danns on loan 1 Quote

Everyone is scrapping it out for the same players. We were linked to Cissoko (Plymouth and now Sheffield Weds), Youan (apparently Stoke), O'Brien (Swansea) and Danns (probably us to be honest as we love giving youngsters their first taste of men's football on loan... but also maybe Sunderland). I wouldn't be surprised if Mostafa Mohamed rocked up at Luton tomorrow. 1 Quote

Signing a quality striker permanently for a decent fee. on Danns, he is clearly a talent player and will be but I'm not sure he will be difference maker between us making the playoffs and not. 1 hour ago, ABRAM ROVER said: The Egyptian fella is starting for Nantes this afternoon so that doesn't look likely. Win against Preston took the heating off the board but it's been a shambles of a window so far Until Rovers make an offer that is acceptable surely he would always start for them. Maybe Gestede is at the game watching him and doing a deal for him. 1 hour ago, roversfan99 said: At best we will get a loan or two last minute if anyone is going spare. If there was something of substance in the works then we would know. Would we really know tho given that Jackson is away on a stag do, no proper LT reporter in place, Andy Bayes doesn't do exclusives so until Nicko has the story we won't know. All I know is tomorrow will be chaos as per usual in the football world. Quote

This Egyptian lad we could easily get our money back if it doesn’t work He's just scored for FC Nantes so I doubt he'll be coming here. 1 Quote

So if we only sign a striker on loan, say Danns, or if we fail to get a striker on a permanent basis entirely. You then do not think we are likely to finish in the top 6? Is this correct? Quote
