Well Riberio would take us to the 25 registered squad players if true.

There is a much bigger issue than this. We can de-register the likes of Hilton, for who we could just use Michalski or someone as third choice keeper due to their age.

The real problem is we would be using our last ESC slot unless he qualifies for a work permit (thinking he doesn't?), meaning our best chance of value for our budget on a striker, our key need, is unlikely to come from abroad unless they also auto qualify for a work permit.

Nevermind, seems to get 15 points to qualify, see post further down

So as it stands, forshaw 🤢 “back up Sanderson” loan LB maybe and a 18 year old striker loan from Liverpool? Jesus Christ the clubs pulled the fans pants down once again if that’s how it ends up 😂

And that seems to be best case scenario at the moment as Danns has his pick of clubs should he not choose to stay at Liverpool.

Still not replaced Rothwell, Szmodics, Wharton or Brererton.. We desperately need a quality ball carrying centre midfielder, a left back, a striker and arguably a right winger with pace. .

I thought we were getting a “ quality ball carrying centre midfielder “ when we signed Cantwell.

If its just a striker signed then it's been a pathetic window

Eustace will be majorly disappointed he spoke of bringing in names, experience and quality

At present not 1 of our new signings has improved the 11(unless kargbo is a hit)

striker plus Yuri before tomorrow deadline. Would be the 2 signings I expect

Seems like we are banking on Danns...I'll fall off my chair if he opts for Sunderland.

I'll correct myself actually, looks like he gets 15 points so he should qualify (the calculator is indicative, doesn't mean he definitely gets enough, but seems to have been right so far).

10 points from league quality, 2 from their European participation, 2 from playing 66% of European minutes, 1 from playing 68% of league minutes.

All our ESC spots are taken anyway, Toth, Ohashi, Kargbo & Mafoumbi.

Yeah not good enough. No player signed has improved the first 11 and we downgraded with Foreshaw when Baker went back

Eustace will be majorly disappointed and unless a miracle and we keep our better players fit for the rest of the season our season will come to nothing and Eustace will be looking for a way out

Just another striker on top of a back up LB it has been an unambitious and dissapointing window again .

Nearly Every other club has shown more ambition nearly and made their 11s stronger.Watch Sheffield Wednesday bring another couple of players in tomorrow after already bringing in Armstrong and Cissokho who will go straight in and have an impact for them

More money should have been spent on quality that can improve us not just collecting out of favour players that are cheap

Thanks, forgot all about Kargbo taking the last slot for some reason.

I do see Toth and Ohashi have enough points for the exceptions panel, I think based on playing for us now...Ohashi has 14 points. I don't think you can apply for a year though? And even if you could, Swag etc don't have the nous to realise nor do it.

Yeah they can be moved over in the summer to free up more ESC slots in then summer, but like you say whether they are we'll see.

If we are reliant on Danns and dont get him, which probably is only an outside shot. I wonder what Eustace says post window, if he will go full JDT.

Wouldn't have thought so, I can imagine him being very professional and focussing all his efforts on getting in the play offs and when it doesn't happen he'll be off in the summer with his head held high.

He'll stay professional and diplomatic but sure he'll be less than pleased behind closed doors.

Don't think he will

Our form was out the window and we were on a major slide down the table,  Jdt also knew he had a job waiting for him

I'd expect Eustace to say he is dissapointed but then will go on to back the lads ,even though he will be fuming

We might not get the full amount of ESC slots again in the summer. You get less slots if too many minutes have been given to non-English (or might be non-British) players, regardless of whether they have a work permit. Not been a problem before, but not sure whether Ohashi, Gueye and Toth have had enough minutes to cut into it. My guess would be not quite, still got a few months to go though.

Yep, perhaps the inevitable conclusion is shit window, season runs out of steam, he leaves in the summer.

Don't think so to be honest, it would send a negative message to the existing squad, and Eustace will want to give it the best chance possible.

Both barrels in the summer would be my guess, if he's still here.
