Maybe with the exception of Ribeiro... We can probably just log off for the day.

I've only just discovered that BRFCs was back up and running!

Only to discover that Rovers are ballsing up every transfer they had lined up.

No surprise there then, it is January after all!

Second.

I'm actually quite excited about this. I can't wait to see what whack shit they're going to do come 11pm

Probably think they've signed cristiano Ronaldo on loan then it turns out it's overweight 47 year old r9

Hey! How come UNCOUTH GARB doesn't have a "Deadline Day" shirt celebrating all that is the colossal clusterfuck this club has become during winter transfer windows?

In the name of authenticity, they created the design and saved it but neglected to submit the order.

Ribeiro would be a good addition and seems to be done.

Lewis Obrien would leave us very well set up in CM, although I don’t think is a priority. Sounds like we may be able to get him on the cheap though.

I’m personally not bothered about missing out on Danns. Would be a risk particularly in January to rely on a player with 8 games under his belt to hit the ground running.

A marquee striker is an absolute must though. The lad from Nantes would of been that - however he played and scored last night so I don’t see anyway he’ll be coming here today…

Move to Swansea stalled apparently as his missus is pregnant and doesn't want to relocate. £400k loan fee has put us off going for him. How true this all is, I don't know, but being spouted on X this morning.

Pretty well sums up what I'm thinking. I never liked the idea of using too much of what is clearly a limited budget on O'Brien when Travis and Tronstad have been our top performers.

Not saying we couldn't do with better depth in certain areas (left back being one) but really we're short of better quality in attacking positions. If we're in a position of throwing £20k a week at someone, it wouldn't be a central midfielder at this point.

'Didn't progress' basically means that we rang Liverpool up and asked what % of Danns' wage they were prepared to cover in return for him coming here and playing regularly.

The minute other Championship clubs come along and inevitably offer far more then commercial reasons will see him go elsewhere. That's the end of it. Our interest amounts to a hope and prayer that come deadline day the parent club will cave in and allow their player to come to us as they'd rather take a financial hit in return for the player having game time as opposed to being sat around their training ground playing academy football for another 4-5 months.

That's our transfer policy in a nutshell. Sometimes it comes off, often it doesn't, but the less and less we are prepared to contribute the harder it is and lower quality the player that arrives.

Danns surely can’t be on more than £10k, he’s a kid and even at elite clubs they not paying academy kids more than that. If we had an interest, I just don’t see how we can have failed on this one, makes no sense whatsoever, you would think it would have been the perfect loan for all concerned 🙈
